SWEATERS. I love sweaters. This time of year, you’ll find me in a cozy knit sweater just about every single day. Someone asked on Instagram the other day where I generally get mine from. If you’re one of the lucky ones beginning to experience dipping temperatures (am I being sarcastic or aren’t I? It changes day to day.), you’re no doubt pulling your sweaters on every day too. Give us cozy, give us warmth. Here’s five sweaters that I love, and each is from a shop that, when in need of a sweater, I’m checking first. (P.S. Several are on sale!)
J.Crew // I’ve got a this cashmere v-neck from them that is such a great staple with a skirt, or with jeans. The v-neck is just right, too. I don’t like a non-deep v-neck, but also I’m not looking to have a boob slip either. This one fits the bill. I also just grabbed this one during the current sale. I love the turtleneck and the thicker knit.
Free People // The one I’m wearing above is from them, but it’s old. This looks nearly identical though (in fact, I think they brought it back!). The colors offered aren’t the same, but I do like that maroon one. It’s oversized and cozy and looks good wash after wash because it’s mostly cotton.
H&M // This sweater is very, very me (and okay, I might have this one too.). It’s the knit. I love a thick knit. I have many H&M sweaters, and I know some say that their products aren’t made well, but I have had some for years and they’re still going strong. I really love this one but I am not getting it. I repeat, I am not getting it.
Everlane // You guys already know I like just about anything Everlane puts out, and this new sweater is no exception. It is so beautiful in that heathered ivory. I love the sleeve, neck, and waistline detail and I really think it’s basically perfect.
Sézane // I feel like the things Sézane sells are so beautiful, I need to whisper when their site is open. I’m not sure what that means, but let’s move on. Their pieces are things you will own for the rest of your life, and they are simply lovely. Like this sweater for instance.
Notable mention: vintage through Etsy when you’re looking for that hard-to-find item that you’re pretty convinced they just don’t “make the way they used to.” For me, currently, that is an Irish fisherman cable knit sweater, and I have my eye on this one and it is the only one so please don’t buy it. But maybe you should because I did say I needed to be stopped.
Also notable mention: sometimes Madewell, but only sometimes. Their sweaters often miss the mark for me. I kinda like this one though–neat back detail.
Okay, carry on through this coming season, my friends. And stay warm in your sweaters!

I love sweaters too!!! It can be hard to find nice warm ones and I’ve had good luck with J Crew as well. Gap used to be another go to for me but everything is really short this season and I feel like the quality isn’t what it used to be. Bring on the cozy!

I feel the same way about Gap! Old school gap was better!
