The weekend is here, and I’m so happy about it. Side note – if you have time for a family movie night and you have Disney+… watch Togo. It is so, so good. Enough that we’ve watched it twice in a month which we don’t do often. For the sensitive souled kids, it doesn’t have any terribly heart-achy animal scenes in it! (As opposed to Eight Below– also fantastic, but a little more heartbreak… I always have to be cognizant of that with Parker! He’s my deep feeler). Anyway, have a wonderful weekend, friends.
Some weekend reading…
I love the cut of this simple workout tank.
I thought this was a pretty sweet Valentine’s Day craft for kids.
Right now, Beautycounter is running a promo–free foundation brush ($35) if you purchase Flawless in Five. What’s that? It’s six makeup products… and basically the main six that you might use daily at a discounted rate. 2020 is the year — no more toxic makeup on your skin every day! (If you’ve never purchased with Beautycounter but are thinking about it, email me first for a little something.) Here’s my post about my makeup routine, using these products.
Love these jeans, this color, their transparency, and the price!
Steve sent me this the other day. Fascinating. Could this be the beginning of a cure?
Everyone should read these.
This book or a plant have become my two favorite gifts to give to friends for their birthday, for no reason at all, for when they’re going through a hard thing, for all the reasons that one would ever want to show love.
I loved reading this interview (I don’t even know who she is!) and I also love the first photo. Look at all those bottles!
I’m going to a winter wedding soon and I’m thinking about this dress, or one similar (I don’t love the front slit in that one). Can I get by without stockings? (I’m not a fan of stockings with fancy dresses.)
Listened to some Ray Lamontagne this morning and was reminded of this post. Especially appropriate because this morning, as I sat having coffee before school, Parker curled up on me, chest to chest, and we snuggled for a few minutes. He’s so lanky now. Sometimes I truly cannot believe how much of him there is, and that he’ll still snuggle me is the best gift. Let it go on, forever!
I am very, very interested in this entire page of chicken recipes from the fantastic Alison Roman. Also, can you imagine how delicious this is? Blended feta! But of course!
Speaking of food, have you ever made Marcella Hazan’s bolognese? Mmmmm.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for the new feta recipe–looks very yummy! And I second the recommendation for Marcella Hazan’s bolognese. Make it for family and/or friends, and they’ll love you more than ever!!

I think cupofjo just put out some winter wedding guest dress post! I just took a quick peek but they look pretty versatile. It’s always events like that when I just want a body double friend to borrow clothes from 🙂

Bridget-if you are interested in immunology, you must watch “Breakthrough” documentary on amazon. Totally fascinating and so hopeful!
