I won’t start this post with my observations about the weather or the leaves like I feel like I do a lot during the changing of seasons (I could, but I won’t). Instead I’ll talk about how Everlane’s basics are about the best basics around–for more reasons than one. So let’s do this. When I saw this oversized alpaca crew on their site, I emphatically nodded to myself and decided that I would probably wear it at least twice a week if it belonged to me. (Well, now it does, and I have.) It’s the perfect amount of fuzzy, and the perfect baggy-ness. It comes in several colors and they’re all fantastic. I went with what I’ll reach for most, though, which is their dark heather black. I’m loving this turtleneck too. This is my first time with an Everlane jacket, and I really like it. This bomber is substantial. I gave it to Steve to hold for a few of these photos and he remarked on how heavy it is. So, you know it’s warm too. If you’re in need of a great basic bomber that’s priced well… here it is. Plus, it’s made from 49 renewed plastic bottles. I really love Everlane for their sustainability. It can’t be the most cost effective for them, but they do it anyway.Alright, let’s take a moment to really talk about the jeans, the jeans, the jeans. I am admittedly fussy about jeans. The way they fit around the butt, if they sag at the crotch and need to be hiked up, the length, the stretch, the comfort level. I’d never owned a pair of Everlane’s jeans until this pair, so I was crossing my fingers they’d work. I ordered my size hoping that they’d run true, and got them in tall. I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I tried them on and they fit perfectly. I love the length too (I’m 5’10”) because I can roll them up a bit for some ankle, or keep them down and not have frost bitten ankles all winter long like I do with so many of my pants. They really knocked it out of the park with these jeans, and I’ll definitely be looking to Everlane when I need another pair in the future. And get this–their factory uses 98% recycled water (after reading a bit about the jean industry, it’s a pretty dirty business and tough to do sustainably). And finally, these great short boots are so comfortable. I have a pretty narrow foot and they fit so comfortably. Take this outfit right to a night on the town with these killer heels. I love the shape.Shopping sustainably can be really cost-prohibitive, I know. Everlane is at a sweet spot where the prices aren’t as egregiously high as some sustainable brands and the items I own seem to be made to last, plus they’re classic pieces, so I expect to have them for a long time… which is, of course, the point! Bonus: they’re purchases you can feel good about.
Have you tried any Everlane clothing yet? What have you tried?
Thank you Everlane for sponsoring this post, and thank you for reading!

Such a nice outfit combo. I find myself reaching for this black on black more and more this season. The chic ness and easiness of it makes it perfect for the season I’m in. How does the sweater fit? I’m normally a Xsmall/small in their t shirts and but sometimes the oversized eats me alive if I’m not careful 🙂

Yes! So easy to dress up, dress down, and I just feel comfortable in it.
I got a small in it, if that helps!

Love the sweater! Any chance you’ll share details on your glasses? I really need a new pair and haven’t found the right ones yet. Yours are just the shape and color I’m looking for.

Love this outfit. Love your style. I feel like you are a minimalist which I’m striving to be. Quality over quantity . Would love to see you do some type of closet capsule wardrobe to help me order and purge. Your beautiful 😍
