It was touch and go for awhile with the weather, but it ended up being mid 60s and windy but no rain last night. The show must go on! And it did. We had such a good time trick or treating last night. I hope you did too. And I hope you find something to do with the candy real fast (besides having your kids eat it all!). We are going dancing this weekend, and I am so excited. A night of dancing with my husband is a night well spent.
Some weekend reading…
Cats trailer! I don’t know what to make of this. Are you planning on seeing it?
This fleecy jacket from Patagonia (exclusive, too) looks so incredibly cozy.
New Jack Ryan. Steve and I watched Season 1 together. I liked it, but if that kind of show is your thing, Homeland is better.
Are you kidding me with this skirt? (Also staple, and would look great with the skirt. Plus, on sale.)
There is no more cozy soup than this one. I haven’t made this specific recipe, but I love French Onion Soup and this one looks fantastic.
Every state ranked by how miserable its winters are. I had a feeling #1 would be what I thought. Massachusetts’ isn’t doing too well on that list either…
Cute sweater. Love those bobbles! And this sweater coat, are you serious?!
I know we’re early, but what a sweet and simple way to decorate for Christmas.
This kind of broke my heart. And I’m still in the thick of it! I already look at moms at the playground who’s babies are still in their little slings and carriers and have this thought. Five more years, will I just look at them and weep? Don’t tell me.
LOL, his thoughts on Chutes and Ladders are everyone’s thoughts. (And we play this one fairly often. Anders is despondent when he doesn’t win.)
Have a good weekend, my friends!

I love your Friday notes!
1. I am ALL ABOUT seeing CATS….it looks awesome and cheesy and amazing.
2. Utah should be WAY higher in the miserable winter rankings.
3. I am in the “empty Target cart” stage. I have never wanted a baby more than now and I’m 52! My teenager is AMAZING but man….I get such tinges of envy when I see mamas and babies and littles. I wish I had known how fast it would go. I would have slowed WAY down, worried so much less, and just soaked up every minute. ENJOY xoxo

Re: winters – fair warning, New Mexico does not belong that low on the list. Sometimes there’s a fair spell but it’s very high altitude and they also never use sand or salt for some reason.

Hi! Every Saturday I read your blog…I love you’re writing and perspective. Thank you so much for sharing the time passes for moms article, it was so what I needed to hear! My oldest started kindergarten so grocery shopping has been much easier, in a sad, lonely way.
