First week of school is complete. These boys are missing each other, I think. But, I’m welcoming (just a bit) some separation from each other (absence makes the heart grow fonder, you know) because prior to school starting, their fighting was getting a little bit frustrating for this mama. End of summer, I suppose! I’m glad it’s the weekend now, though. I need to eeeeease into this transition (and all transitions).
Some weekend reading…
I just had a reader tell me about this children’s book, and I’ve already put it on hold at the library. I hope my kids love cooking, and food, and sitting around a table with loved ones their whole lives.
I love this workspace so much.
America is running out of White Claw. (It’s strictly a summertime drink for me, so not a disaster. Yet.)
One of my favorite all-purpose (think Windex in My Big Fat Greek Wedding) beauty products just got improved. I cannot wait to try it. (And my other favorite product, is the Band of Beauty gift this month. Meaning… $63 bottle for free when you join and spend $50.)
I’ve mentioned before, I think, that we’re going to have a real guest room (most of the bedrooms are just a sort of mish-mosh, so to actually do a bedroom in any capacity is new!). When I saw this, I was in loooove with the bedding. Every combo! I think I’ve decided which one is a favorite though. See them all here.
This top is for sure on my birthday list. (Hey, ho, Steve. You hear that?)
What historical figures actually looked like. This is crazy.
One of my absolute favorite podcast listens in recent weeks was this one with Michael Pollan. I could listen to him all day. I might talk more about this one because it was spoke such beautiful truth!
I have perhaps found the perfect mug.
Tonight’s dinner! And a loaf of crusty bread. And some red wine. Not ready for fall, but I am ready for fall food.
Big sweatshirts sale going on here, and this is cute.
Tomato cage plant stand. This is genius.
That’s all, folks!

I love corn chowder at this time of year! And because we live in Seattle, we stir in a couple of cups of fresh cooked Dungeness crab at the end…just enough to warm it up. You think you’re a Summer Girl but I think you’re really an Autumn Lover.
