Five things I’m loving right now.

   Some fall-ish things I’m loving lately…

01. a fresh fall planter! i went to a farm today with anders and got some cabbages (look at that purple center!), ornamental peppers, mums, and beach grass. the summer ones I did awhile back were looking very tired. and just wait till those beautiful mums bloom–you want me to take more pictures when they do? OKAY. also, whenever i bring home one of the funky pumpkins steve looks at it with disdain and questions why i don’t just get a normal orange pumpkin. he doesn’t get it.02. this beautiful sweater. everlane’s fall stuff is killing it. the heavy knit, big buttons, dropped shoulders in this one… i love it so much. (jeans here). 03. fall polish. i like this navy color. (midnight cami) + this one (mink muffs) is also a favorite.04. this coconut curling cream. you guys took me down a rabbit hole with last week’s curly girl method hair DMs. i’ve used it once, and my hair was definitely nice and shiny and curly, and the reviews are stelllllllllar. like, changing people’s lives?! ok sign me up.05. this truly mind-blowing video on the monarch caterpillar to chrysalis transformation.  oh my GOD. it actually makes me sort of emotional. are the caterpillar and the butterfly the same creature? does the caterpillar die and sacrifice itself to the butterfly? DO WE REALLY KNOW? i might cry. we have one at our house right now that is just about to form and i am tempted to stay up all night to catch it. i want to see the process so badly. (p.s. that website is full of fantastic videos for kids.) UPDATE: WE SAW IT. when we all came down this morning, within moments, it happened. (i’m telling myself–he waited for us intentionally.)
