Happy weekend, friends! The weather is beautiful here today and I hope you’re able to get out and enjoy it. Yesterday we hiked around a park in our town with friends, ending with the kids wading in the river. A perfect summer afternoon, if you ask me. Soak it up!
Some weekend reading…
An illustrated guide of where all the plastic has gone.
I loved these two IGs recently from women I admire on raising children: on attachment and accountability being necessary for success, on a happy childhood.
My next Maine trip will include this place. Anyone been? Tips? Places to stay?
Traveling with kids — some good tips here and I would second most of them!
Anthro has a gorgeous bracelet selection.
These floating shelves have been on my list forever, and we might actually do them soon. (Also, the plant on the top shelf of those books is truly durable and I highly recommend. Doesn’t need much light either! Anyone know the name of it?)
Love this bedding. Linen bedding forever and for always.
If you’re distraught about the border situation, consider donating to Together Rising, as they work on family reunification.
This Stranger Things prank is hysterical.
Hope for the future of our environment? (So grateful for innovative companies like this one.)
I’m not a sure a pair of jeans has ever spoken to me as much as this one.
That’s all for now. See you next week!

I’ve never heard of Coos Canyon, but it sounds incredible! It looks like it’s in the area (a relative term for anything in a 30 mile radius in Maine) of Smalls Falls and Screw Auger Falls, both of which we grew up going to and are incredible with kids! That part of western ME can feel remote, so definitely plan for food and a place to stay ahead of time (or make it a day trip from elsewhere), lest you end up eating hot dogs from a convenience store 😉

The Great Alone is fantastic. I couldn’t put it down. And I went to Alaska a few weeks ago and it’s an amazing place!

The Great Alone was fantastic. Couldn’t put it down and cried and cried. It actually was a little harrowing but I would read it all again in an instant. And yes, Alaska is such a brilliant setting, written about so well. What a place!
