01. Frog and Toad Audio Collection: we just love this one; in fact, Anders is listening to it next to me as we speak. If you’ve never tried the Frog and Toad stories, try them! They’re the funniest, and if you get the audio version, the author himself reads them. Perfect for quiet time in the house (or when your child asks for TV… suggest this instead! It worked for me… this time, anyway.) P.S. I didn’t realize I had an Audible account that’d been charging me per month for an embarrassingly long time, and when I told my friends about it, one of them discovered the same thing! So, maybe check that you also don’t have one? But good news, they did reimburse me the majority of my charges!
02. This cardigan: I would wear this every single day. (So maybe I shouldn’t get it because that’s gross.) It’s the perfect oversized, chunky, long-sleeved throw on over everything sort of sweater. I just want it to be on an even bigger sale (which I’m pretty sure it was, like, last week).
03. A nice hand cream for the winter: This is next to my sink and will remain there all winter long. Washing hands so often, especially with sickness around, means really dry hands. This is lightweight and is not overly smelly.
04. Frasier on Hulu: it’s Steve’s favorite show, maybe ever (Seinfeld is up there too), and I love that Hulu has all of them. There is something so hysterical about Frasier and Niles–not that they’re ever intending to be funny, which is the hilarity of it all. Hulu also has all the Seinfeld seasons and Cheers too. It’s like where good old throwback TV lies. We started watching Frasier last night, and I think we’ll slowly make our way through the seasons.
05. Lavender and sandalwood diffusing: new favorite combo. Home smells like a spa. I’m in a robe all day. Anders places cucumbers on my eyes when I snap my fingers. It’s great.

Frog and Toad is the best! I even enjoy the stories as a 25 year old adult now, haha! ๐

Weโve been watching Frasier, too! As a kid, I remember my parents watching it and thinking it was THE most boring show ever. So 9-year-old me would be stunned at how much my husband and I laugh at it now.

it was my mom’s FAVORITE. and on the same night as friends, right?! thursdays? i’d watch friends and then check out for frasier, but now… that humor is genius.

ME TOO ON THE AUDIBLE account we never knew we had, also for an embarrassingly long time. Discovered it recently. They charged us on all of the payment methods we’d been using for Amazon Prime. They are owned by Amazon. Pretty sure it’s a scam. No wonder Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world. How did you get them to reimburse, did you email or call? Thanks Bridget!!

Mistaken Audible accounts have probably paid for his house at this point. I got on a live chat with them through Amazon. Was very simple and they took care of it!

Thank you Bridget. I’d like to think it was mistaken and not deliberate. I also think they should have refunded it all and not just the majority. Hoping they’ll take care of mine too. Thanks again!!!

I made the mistake of ordering a book through my AUdible account (not really understanding the credits thing and what it meant)– so I was reimbursed everything I should’ve been reimbursed!

Good to know…. gathering my credit card statements to make my case. It’s tricky because they billed from our three different payment methods, zigzag-ing across different credit cards and bank cards, including my college kid’s bank card, she ordered something once on Amazon and they used her card for Audible!!!!!! Having a great time trying to find every statement (not! we’re not super organized around here). Thank you for bringing this up in your post, got me motivated to just deal with it!! It’s like you’re doing a public service! You’re the bomb!!

I’ve been living in chunky oversized cardigans for the past 2 months the weathers so confusing at the moment, i can’t wait for it to get really cold so i can just live in chunky knitwear all the time!!
Plus you can’t go wrong with smothering yourself in moisturisers this time of year, i don’t leave the house without hand cream and lip balm!

I also recently realized I was being charged each month for Audible and had a bunch of credits available. I panicked before canceling (FYI – you actually keep your credits even if you cancel) and bought all the Harry Potter audio books and it was the best decision of my life. A bit of an exaggeration there but only slightly. ๐ I had never read them or watched the movies, so I was a bit hesitant that I, at 32, would appreciate them, but boy was I wrong. THEY ARE SO GOOD. Just a shout out to HP and a thought for anyone with extra credits.
bridget says
oh girl i am all about HP. i read the first 3 a long time ago but am counting down the days till the boys are old enough to read with them! lindsey has read the whole series a couple times. love it!! (also did not know that about my credits–but i am also scared to use them in case they start charging me again!)
