What are you doing this weekend? We’re watching… GREATEST SHOWMAN TONIGHT!!! And today I’m bringing William to get his wisdom teeth out… oof. Soft foods and a movie night–we’re all set. I would love to get some bike riding in and maybe lunch outside somewhere too. The weather is so mild right now! This picture is from last week, when Anders and I were making these peanut butter cookies. And his hair? That’s my lazy way of putting off a haircut. Whenever I do it to his hair he tells me, “I princess poppy!” P.S. I changed the name of these posts… what do you think?! BIG DEAL, I KNOW.
Some weekend reading…
This old post. Gave me a little heartache.
This is quite the cover.
Do we really need to refrigerate our eggs?
I want to stay here inside Yosemite (my need to see more of THIS country is growing big time. Remember this post?!).
I love, love this tee.
Made this last night (William’s request for his 18th (!!) birthday: steak and broccoli) and it was so delicious. He also requested the same brownies I made for Lindsey. Suffice it to say, that is also a winner and now a family favorite.
Absolutely love everything about this simple bedroom. Something about linen bedding! (We have this set in white and it truly is my favorite. Now I want some other neutral shams to mix it up.) Side note: this kid’s room!
Anyone order anything from Brandless yet? Very intrigued.
Countermatch set is complete! (And is the one I seem to be hearing the most buzz about. I just started trying to whole regiment, so I’ll report back in the coming weeks.)
Summer blockbusters. It’s telling that the one I’m most excited for is Incredibles 2. #Momlife P.S. Any of you seen A Quiet Place? Thoughts? I’m interested but also scared.
Love these for Dad, Mom, kids.
Have a good weekend!!

I LOVE Brandless! I’ve tried at least one item for every room. Their maple hand soap smells so good. I love the spoons. The black beans, maple syrup, vegetable broth, and vitamins are also really great. The kitchen linens are amazing. I’m a big fan.

I came to say basically the same thing. I have ordered a variety of things from Brandless and have been pretty surprised with the quality.

Yosemite! Yes! My husband’s whole family went last year. We stayed in what they call “housekeeping camp” (think old war movie permanent-canvas tents), but my in-laws stayed in one of the cabins you linked to. We did an entire week with our two kiddos (11 mos., and two years at the time), and while I was super apprehensive about it at first, it ended up being one of the most amazing experiences of my whole life. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I saw A Quiet Place and LOVED it. And I am not a fan of scary movies at all. It was so so good!

I’m not a huge scary movie person either, but it wasn’t way too scary?!?

I have been wrestling with this all week! I am a complete wimp about scary movies (never never never) but I’m dying to see A Quiet Place. I have also heard that it’s more “thriller” than “horror” and not scary after you leave the theater, but I am still totally on the fence about whether or not to brave it.
bridget says
ok, SAW IT! and i’d have to agree. i’m a wimp and it had a few jump out of your seat moments, but is not something that continues scaring you once home. like a reader said, a little more stranger things-esque scary than like bad guy prowling in the night. see it!

Whoa — I’d never heard of Brandless before, and now I’m about to go wild on their site! The concept and the prices are fantastic!!
Happy weekend!

A Quiet Place is amazing!!! I am not a scary movie person, but this is about as scary as Stranger Things, if you liked that. It’s also only 90 minutes which helps the scary factor. Also, I totally cried…like a lot…be/c the overarching theme is a parent’s love for their children and what they are willing to do for them. And finally, John Krasinski & Emily Blunt. Enough said.

Hope all went well with Williams wisdom tooth! Have a nice weekend! X

I’d love some information about the Countermarch Cleansing Milk. Is it strictly a make-up remover or would it do the job of face wash and make-up remover? I tried to find a bit more info on the website, but since it is a newer product there isn’t a ton. I’m in love with the eye rescue cream but have had some major breakout issues recently and am on the hunt for a new, natural cleanser. THANKS!
bridget says
the cleansing milk would be your all purpose cleanser! and it’s reallllly nice and creamy!
for breakouts–check out the charcoal bar and/or mask… great for occasional use to ward off breakouts!
