Birthday celebrations are officially over for this boy. What a good 3rd birthday it was. This weekend we have company for dinner and then we are going to a Christmas party. And we’re supposed to get snow! What are you guys doing? (Side note: our Elf on the Shelf has moved twice.)
Some weekend reading…
Don’t use glitter. Or, if you do, use this one.
My friends’ Christmas cookies. I AM NOT WORTHY.
How to make your last name plural. This was funny. And insightful.
Speaking of Elf on the Shelf, this was hilarious.
These shoes for the holiday and 40% off!
I’m making this tonight for company, saw it on Mara’s IG!
Are you serious with this video?!?
Check out this insane giveaway from the dreamiest hotel! (All you have to do is upload a photo.)
We got Anders one of these cars for his birthday and I can already tell it will be well-loved.
Today is 35% off a lot of things at J. Crew and this sweater has been sitting in my cart for over a week.
Sharing this old post and adding this to it: freeze your baby spinach leaves for smoothies so that they don’t go bad (how many of us throw away old spinach!?). Also, I never make my own cream of chicken these days but I do buy this one.
Has anyone seen this movie yet and was it good?!?
Our good friend works for World Relief and shared this video. It’ll get you good. This is what it’s all about.
Have a good weekend friends!!

I didn’t know freezing spinach was possible. Thanks for the tip! 🙂

Murder on the Orient Express was not great. I would maybe rent it, but it’s not worth paying to see in theaters. It is beautifully shot, but really super slow, and the ending is not satisfying in the way you hope a mystery will be satisfying (but I guess you would know that already if you have read the book- I didn’t!). Also, I just bought the flat version of those shoes from Old Navy! So cute.

That video! …my heart! I saw MoTORE and would give it a B+. I mean, the cast is phenomenal. And even though I had my doubts, I thought Kenneth Branagh did a great job at Poirot. I thought the story playing out a little boring, and that the train was the most impressive part of the movie.

Penne a la Betsy is my all-time, go-to pasta recipe–so easy and wonderful! I doctor it a tiny bit to make it taste more like the Shrimp Fra Diablos from Bravo Ristorante. I add a lot of cayenne pepper and some chopped-up sundried tomatoes–so GOOD!

Yes, Orient Express is good! It’s not mind-blowing, but I quite enjoyed it.

I was so excited to see Murder on the Orient Express! We saw it last week and it was just ok. Beautiful but lacking suspense and a little boring at times. We enjoyed it, but easily could have saved the money and seen it at home.
