Trench coats are something of a closet workhorse, I think. They sort of add the finishing, classy touch to an outfit, whether it be jeans and high tops, or a midi skirt and clogs. Evidence above and below!
Also, this shirt? Fourth of July attire… CHECK. Always trying to figure out how to get red, white, and blue in my outfit–so, this really is perfect.I love this coat because it’s just the classic trench coat. I like that there’s black and green and darker khaki colored ones out there too for the people really devoted to their trench coats, but you want a basic one? This one’s your girl. Also, it only occurred to me, literally as I’m writing this, that I’ve seen this look before. Next time, I’ll lose the hat.
P.S. For those interested in the looser fit jean without having total sag-butt, these (in the first outfit) are my new favorite. 40% off today using the code HAPPY.

Wow, I totally see that Benjamin Button effect – you look fabulous! And I that trench-jeans – shirt combination screams spring to me – another addition to the Bridget made me buy it list.

So versatile! I love both of the looks, there’s definitely a big difference even though they’re both styled with the same trench coat!

Can you post a picture of the back of your trench coat? I never know how you’re supposed to wear the belt, is it tied around the back belt loops? Mine sits in my closet, unworn.

i’ve let them simply hang down before (or tied them in a loose knot together, behind me. does that make sense?).
