Decided to break up this week’s Canadian tuxedo with a little black and white stripes thrown in.This boxy top is from Zara by way of thredUP. It’s a perfect top to throw over jeans and can be sort of fancy with its structured fit and thicker material. I love it over this chambray (I really could wear denim on denim all too often.) top and looser fit jeans. A side note: while having bangs was fun for a time, growing them out is a real b. I’m over them. I’m also getting the itch to cut all of my hair but I know I’ll regret it come summer when I can’t just throw it all up in a bun. Talk me out of it.If you’re not already aware, thredUP is an online consignment store with like new pieces. They come all folded up in this fabulous box with thredUP’s own tag, so it really does feel like you’re ordering brand new pieces (but saving a lot of money). Here’s a few other basic pieces I have my eye on over there: this J.Crew baseball tee sweatshirt, these easy drawstring chambray pants, this polka dot top (I love it!), and this plaid top (I have this in red, and it’s a favorite.).
Here’s a promo code to use on your first thredUP order: TALES40 for 40% off first. Discount up to $50. Expires 6/30.

hey brittany! i love these heels!! they’re franco sarto – old from nordstrom – but called the “sabine” so maybe you might have luck tracking them down somewhere else with the name!

Not what you need but I think you would look stunning with a pixie. Change is good!! I chopped up my hair (down to my bottom) to a pixie last year and I haven’t looked back. You only need good bone structure/cheekbones to carry it off, which you obviously have!
bridget says
i am many things, but daring enough to try a pixie is not one of them! (at least not at this point in my life!)

Don’t cut your hair!!!!! I chopped mine last summer, and although I loved the ease of it, I am SOOOO happy that it will be back in a top knot this summer!
Sydni says
I don’t know, I cut my hair last summer and have kept it that way. It’s so fun and easy!!

What photo editing tools/apps do you use for your photos may I ask? They always look so good!
bridget says
thanks so much, emily! i use photoshop (i never really got the hang of lightroom, but maybe one day!) for almost all of my pictures, i might lighten just a smidge, and then i play around with the curves to get a more matte look. that’s it! i shoot manual with my camera so that the picture is pretty much the way i want it right out of the camera!

shorter hair is such a good look on you, I’m always ready to encourage a chop 🙂

Can you tell me the cleaning instructions for the Zara top? I’ve tracked one down online, but there’s no tag on it. And I can’t deal with “hand wash only” clothes. (This might be my first comment ever and it’s so boring I’m sorry.)
bridget says
i just looked and mine has no care instructions on it either! however, that would lead me to believe it’s machine washable (which is what i plan on doing).
