Shake Shack got in touch with me a few weeks ago about working together and I was like, “This is my moment. I have arrived.” Just kidding, but it was definitely a natural fit. We love burgers, we love Shake Shack, and we love Boston. Where do we sign up? (The answer: through an email correspondence with the coordinator.)The Shake Shack on Newbury Street has this entire private room on the street level that can be rented out for private parties and functions and it is awesome. Toys and games for kids (and adults), including foosball which captured the kids’ attention for a good 45 minutes. My friend Rachael and her kids joined us for the afternoon (Parker was thrilled; Lux is one of his favorites and they’ve been hanging out since they were teeny little things.)The room can hold 20-40 guests. It’d be so fun for a birthday party–kids or otherwise. Plus, I was told that you could bring your own DVD, so you could actually play a movie just for the kids too. Wind down the evening after food and foosball. Moms and Dads order the ShackMeister ale or their Shack wine, kids watch their movie and have shakes for dessert. Done. Party is done and go home to a clean home! It’d be cool for a casual work event too. You may have seen my IG story the other day where I ran downstairs for a total of 17 seconds and came back up to Parker having chopped his bangs off (I shared this picture to demonstrate.). “Are you kidding me?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” was my first response. Folks, he was not kidding. Right up front, and pretty much as short as he could. So of course I had to go short all over. I miss his longer hair! He looks older or something. It’s not okay.Burgers, dogs, fries (including their new BBQ, cheese, and bacon topped fries). It was all really delicious. Also, I realize how serious of eaters my boys can be when we’re with other kids. Lux and Joan had walked away from their food to go back to playing games and, for a good ten minutes or so, there were Parker and Anders, still studiously eating every last bit (this is definitely not the case with all food, I assure you–certain foods, they take very seriously.). It probably goes without saying, but when you’re in the private room, you have the whole menu to choose from, and servers come to the room to take your order. It’s $25 per guest for an all inclusive food, beverages, and dessert (or $40 pp if it includes alcohol; Steve and Rachael had their ale and loved it. I chose a glass of wine!). Thanks so much Shake Shack!
P.S. Boston folk: there’s a Burgers ‘n Brew event happening this Thursday at 7 PM at the Newbury Street Shake Shack (21+) with Sam Adams. You probably should go–seriously, look at this menu.

I’ve never been to Shake Shack, but it’s actually on my bucket list for when I ONE DAY go to NYC! Or actually, anywhere else with Shake Shack, for that matter!

You have definitely arrived if Shake Shack came to YOU to ear there. I mean, you don’t have to twist my arm. It’s SUCH a special treat. And while Parker does look older, both of the boys look adorable. Also, that SS spot is awesome – it’s beautiful!

I have this (terrible?) obsession with shake shack, and we live in richmond but anytime we are in DC, i request a detour to the one there, which is the closest. I’ve most definitely gotten a burger + shake right after breakfast or lunch, just because we can’t NOT go.
