{blizzard scenes looked something like this}
playing Go Fish with Lindsey
putting layers on once we lost power (and not opening the doors to the outside at all lest we were without power too long; can’t lose that precious heat!)
the boys watching Moana with exactly 25% battery left on the iPad
sipping wine and reading my book while they did so, covered up in our big gray blanket
using matches to start a flame on the burner to make eggs for dinner
boredom
William beginning to go crazy because his iPhone was running out of juice and wondering how long we would be without power (a true fear for a teenage boy! those snapchat streaks, you know!)
wind! so much wind!
wet sheets in the washer, and wishing I’d put them in the dryer before we lost power (especially since I had the thought, “if we lose power, I should really do xyz first…”)
putting the boys to bed in the same room just for fun, and coming up to see them having totally shifted positions to be horizontal on the bed
Anders desperately needing band aids (paw patrol!) and then desperately needing them off 10 minutes later
wondering how resilient I would be if being without power/internet/heat was really my reality
watching the power go back on while Steve and I laid in bed with the boys sleeping at around 8 pm (some are still without!)
having my friend Megan send me IG videos of her basking in the California sun by a pool under the guise of concern about our Boston weather (I’ll get her back)
and that’s about it.

Adorable pictures. A day in with the family on blizzard day sounds perfect.

We did not get nearly as much snow as you guys but the wind was nuts! And your boys sleeping like a bunch of puppies is adorable!
