it’s been ages since my last lately post and i have a ton of pictures and things we’ve done that are just sitting on my phone or in my iphoto so… it’s time! i am a blogger, after all. the above is a day we took into boston a few weeks ago. it was columbus day, so my friend and i had a playdate so we could get all the kids together–since school’s begun, parker and one of his closest friends don’t see each other like they used to! boston in the fall is just as beautiful as you’d think it is. the gardens were full of yellow trees. the day was sort of windy and chilly so after lunch at dig inn, we had hot chocolate at l.a. burdick. or more like a melted chocolate bar than the hot chocolate i’m used to. (if i’m being honest, i prefer it less thick!) dig inn’s line was almost out the door and rachael and i couldn’t decide whether to brave it or not. we did brave it, and it moved really fast (plus, anders fell asleep in the stroller while we waited!). so, a note to those wondering how quickly it moves: very quickly!my friend rachael and two of her girls! leaf throwing in the garden! i think this is what they mean when they say chillin’ like a villain. i think we were watching masha and the bear which is their new favorite show on netflix. i mean, as soon as the theme music starts, anders gets this big smile on his face. and i catch them both laughing out loud at it.
he’s not the neatest eater but he might be the cutest. (he also refuses to wear a bib.) on a hike recently when the fall color might’ve been at its peak. the park was glowing yellow. it was pretty amazing. especially this spot. my mom and little anders at his birthday party! he’s pretty focused on that pooh balloon out of the frame.i love this picture for so many reasons. for a few days every once in awhile, parker gets really into his fireman-play and sets the chairs up in a row like it’s his firetruck. he puts my dad’s old helmet on, and gets really into it. anders is sometimes in one of the “firetruck seats” too (and look at him grinning in the back!). sometimes steve and i are in the firetruck too. i love his imagination.my friend jenny took this selfie of all of us getting our food at thanksgiving. i love it. jordan must’ve been in the other room, but he was there too. and parker and anders! it was such a good thanksgiving.he had a little cold the other day so i kept him home and we watched elf, made a gingerbread house, and cuddled. it was actually awesome. christmas spirit in full swing over here and a quiet day mid-week to enjoy it. they just opened their advent calendars this morning too. welcoming santa to town with a tree lighting. with little boys, we’re there more to see the fire engines that start the parade, if i’m being honest. and lindsey who is in the marching band!

OMG, I had to immediately comment of the picture with Anders on the couch. HOW IS HE SO FREAKING CUTE?!? I am obsessed with him! That is probably weird to hear, but I have been a reader for years on all the platforms, so it’s not THAT weird, right? 😉 I just can’t.

i love that shot of him!!!

My kids LOVE Masha and the Bear. We put it on, and there are two toddlers frantically pointing and yelling “bear! bear!”

I actually grew up in Audubon (as did my husband) but we moved to Twp a few years ago. I took my SATs at HMHS and some of my favorite little stores on on Kings Hwy!

Beautiful pictures of the fall foliage!

You’re such a good mom! What a blessing that Steve found you and you both took a chance on each other. It is no small feat to take on an older man with four children…and you seem to have done it with aplomb. Wishing you a very merry holiday season and memorable family times!

love the photo of Parker in the firemans helmet. He looks so proud. (And grown up!) I am starting to think that appropriate headgear is pretty much all you need for the preschooler dress up box!

Oh my God, those fall colours. I’m so jealous coming from a dense city like Hong Kong.

So happy Lindsey is still playing in band! (I’ve been reading since she was in 5-6th grade). I played in marching band for 6 seasons and it was the best. No pressure on her, but if she decides to keep playing in college, tell her it only gets more fun. 🙂

hi! so random- but what is the square/photoshop looking thing on the persons face toward the left of the group? is that just my computer?
bridget says
ha, not your computer! it’s those funny face cut out things – it gives everyone a different mouth.
