it’s thanksgiving week. what better week than this one to proclaim all that i’m thankful for.
i’m thankful for the little tikes bouncy house that i whipped out two weeks early (anders’ second birthday present!) because the weather was going to turn really cold (and since then, it has!!). so far it’s produced many giggles and maybe slightly deeper sleeps the nights that follow? hoping for many warm(ish) winter days so we can keep it up before summer! i laughed at how many of you DM’d me to tell me you brought yours inside through the winter months. oh if only we had the room, i really might.
i’m thankful for the blossoming relationship between parker and anders. it is crazy cute. the past few days they’ve just been getting along really well and playing so nicely and parker has been so patient with him. oh! and the other day anders had a pretty spectacular poop explosion and i started changing his diaper and i saw parker out of the corner of my eye grabbing wipes to walk over to where some was on the floor (tmi?) to start cleaning it up. i stopped him before he began to say that i could do it! but thanked him profusely. he’s so, so sweet.
i’m thankful for today’s 40% off jcrew sale (on nearly everything! including this parka!) and i may have bought this for myself. i was sold at “sweatshirt material.”
i’m thankful for this warm home, and a thermostat that i can just touch a button on to make the house even warmer.
i’m thankful for this family of mine that sits around the dinner table every night. sharing our stories, food, love.
i’m grateful for this robe. my birthday present from my mom and sister. when anders wakes up, it’s often (always!) still dark but knowing that this cozy thing is hanging there for me to wrap up in makes it a little less painful.
i’m thankful for really delicious bakeries. we have two near us. one that makes the greatest, crustiest ciabatta bread ever and the other that makes amazing scones and muffins and cakes perfect for so many occasions.
i’m thankful for dreams, and that, at least some of them, can be chased and realized. there’s so many people that don’t have this option.
i’m thankful for YOU. seriously. that i come here day after day to share stories, life, whatever, and that you’re there reading, offering me wisdom or advice or your own struggles– and even helping me to make an income doing it!– is nothing short of amazing to me. it wouldn’t be that cool if there were none of you, so thanks for reading and for sharing with me through comments. i’m so grateful for you.
blessings to you, this thanksgiving week. i hope you all have a relaxing and restorative holiday.

It’s so nice to take a few moments and think about all the wonderful things we have to be thankful for. I am definitely thinking I will invest in a blow up playhouse one day soon. And I too am thankful for this little blog land to come and write and build friendships. Have an amazing thanksgiving.

This one maybe, totally made me tear up: “i’m thankful for dreams, and that, at least some of them, can be chased and realized. there’s so many people that don’t have this option.”
Thanks for the reminder. In the wake of some rough days, it’s a great reminder. Happy, happy Thanksgiving. Love to all XX!

And you just convinced me to buy that sweatshirt when I just told myself “I am not allowed to buy anything for ME until the holidays are over.” #FAIL
But it’s REALLY cute!!
