Breakfast can get boring around here. I surprise the kids with muffins or cinnamon rolls or bagels approximately… four times a year (that’s the official number). It’s usually yogurt and granola, eggs, or apples and peanut butter. Repeat. Again and again. My kids love cereal though. I mean they love it. They’d eat it for breakfast, an after school snack, and before bed every day if they could. I don’t buy it too often even though Steve’s always quipping–“Vitamins and minerals! 10 g of fiber!” Yeah, yeah. But, when the team over at Annie’s rolls out their newest product (remember when they were just mac and cheese?!) and it’s cereal, I’m going to throw it in my cart from time to time. It’s nice to know that those Annie’s folk have come out with an organic breakfast cereal for those lucky times when cereal is on the menu. My kids are thrilled too. It’s also really yummy (especially those Cocoa Bunnies–chocolate in the morning? Sign me up. Having something sweet alongside your coffee is the best. Reminds me of those Italian breakfasts that I came to love.) The Cocoa Bunnies are my favorite, and made with Fair Trade Certified cocoa. The Berry Bunnies, Parker’s and Lindsey’s favorite, are flavored with real fruit (no high fructose corn syrup!). So when your milk is ever so slightly colored at the end of your bowl, it’s not artificial ingredients or synthetic colors but real ingredients. Plus, it’s all certified organic. Nicely done, Annie’s. I don’t think this is the last time we’ll be enjoying your bunny cereal in this house.
This post is sponsored by Annie’s, a brand we love in this house. Thank you for reading!

Annie’s may be the best kind of people but cereal is evil. (And you know it!) My kids would also eat it 3x’s a day. I wonder why? Processed, sugary, no matter how organic. Not to mention a very expensive, highly packaged way to get “vitamins &, minerals” into your body. I’ve lost the battle with our 15 yr. old but the 3 youngers get it only as a non-meal treat. Instead of slaving over a pie it’s “here’s a box of Rice Crispies because I love you”. But now I can bring them even greater joy with Annie’s Cocoa Bunnies.

Yummm. Hope there is a gluten-free one… if not I’m sure they’ll make one soon. I LOVE cereal.

Okay – I have to ask. Why do you buck tradition and wear your wedding band outside of your engagement ring? Or, is it a tradition in your family/heritage?
bridget says
that is a very good question and one i dont have a good answer to! except to say mostly that my engagement ring can be a tad loose (particularly in the winter months!) and i wont lose it if my wedding ring.. which is tighter… is on the outside! i wish i had a cooler reason than that…

We’ve just recently found the Berry bunnies ceral because of boring breakfast options. We sometimes resort to dinner for breakfast to spice things up. This is the only cereal my 2 year old will eat so we are very happy. We also love Annie’s products!
