Almost 22 months old and crazy as can be, that’s our Anders. He’s sassy and sweet and cuddly (except when he wants to nurse and you’re not nursing. Then cuddling will not suffice and don’t even touch him because he’s mad). He has an extra swingy left arm when he runs around the backyard, compared to his right which only so slightly swings. He copies everything Parker does, and wants a bun on his burger–like the rest of us–not just pieces of burger on a plate. He climbs up to sit at the island now, and with extra speed if he sees grapes up there. He screeches when he sees something he wants you to notice–like Lightning McQueen on a shirt, or a passing truck. He can’t stand to have water in his eyes or on his face when he’s in the bathtub and also goes into total dramatics when you brush his teeth. The drama completely stops and he’s happy as can be the moment the brushing is done. (It’s hilarious.) He’s a Mama’s boy, preferring to be near me at all times, and his breath sometimes still has that newborn smell. When he sleeps with his mouth open it’s the perfect time to really inhale that sweetness (and I do; weird?). I can close my eyes and imagine myself doing it when he was only a few hours old. He’s sensitive and ticklish and loves to be chased. He loves to play with cars, trains, Legos. His cheeks bounce when he walks. He’s our little Anders and we love him so.

Such an adorable little boy! I’m laughing at the thought of you smelling his breath when he’s sleeping. If I did that with my kids, I would probably pass out cold from the stench! Ha ha.

Ahh, baby breath. I do the same thing! I have a 3-month-old, and she’s our last kid… I smell her sweet breath and run my fingers through her feathery hair 100x a day.

So cute. I thought my 2-year old son was the only kid with one extra swing-y arm when he runs. It is too cute!!

I do the same exact thing when my one year old baby boy is seeping beside me… that sweet milky baby breath should be bottled up or something?!? One of the things I’ll miss most when he weans, I think!
