The other day at a splash pad/kiddie pool park. I feel like I’m frantically shoving all of the things into the last few days of summer. This was a fun one. Perfect for both boys, really. Today, we have to back to school shop. Wah, wah. Hope you all have a great weekend!
I remember this moment well. A Mom hugs her daughter before going into labor.
The back to school sadness. Feelin’ it.
Did you hear this Parenthood news? (Mixed emotions; on one hand YAY and on the other: it ended on such a perfect note!)
Do you care more about a dog than a refugee? (I love dogs. And there’s nothing wrong with that! But food for thought nevertheless.)
Old chapel converted into a home. AMAZING INSIDE AND OUT. (Seriously. I want to live here.)
I got these for Anders. Even though he’s not “back to school” the kid deserves a new shoe! (So many hand-me-downs for that boy.)
It’s still a dream of mine (ours, really, but Steve’s already done virtually all of the U.S. so I’m playing catch-up.) to do a cross country road trip (remember this post?). My sister is checking this out for her own family. AMAZING.

That’s the first I’ve heard about Parenthood. I LOVE that show so I would always be up for seeing more of the Bravermans. At the same time, it seems like most of these “revivals” just don’t measure up to the original (Arrested Development, anyone??). I would hate for it to be terrible quality compared to the original. I just hope if they do it that they can meet the same standards that they had when the show was airing.

I agree with Rachel, that the “revivals” aren’t just as good (fingers crossed for Gilmore Girls!!!). So I’m torn. For one, it just ended… so is it really a revival? It could be a good thing, but it also leaves me wondering, why would they end it if they’d be happy bringing it back not even five years later. For two, it did end so well! BUT, I do miss the Bravermans…

Stop it, that chapel is not even fair. Way to make me completely dissatisfied with my house.

My husband and I (newly-ish weds no kiddos) are 10 days away from getting rid of almost everything we own and hitting the road with our Subaru+ Camper rig! We are so excited, it’s something we’ve dreamed of doing for years. We are weddings + lifestyle photographers and plan on running our business with our mobile lifestyle. If you guys end up doing a cross-country roadtrip we should absolutely get together for some epic family photos 🙂 While our camper is tiny and our current goal is simplicity, we are really inspired by families that make this happen with kiddos because that will probably (hopefully) be us one day! I’ve been following Jones Design Co on their three-month airstream trip with four kids!! So awesome http://jonesdesigncompany.com/road-trip/
bridget says
that is AMAZING abbi. how long are you doing it for?!
Erin says
The airstream is great! We just bought a 1974 VW Bus to satiate our travel bug. We can’t wait to take it to the shore and maybe up to my parents in Vermont! The kids are FREAKING out because they are dying to sleep in it. 🙂
