one. the wall in this bathroom at the field guide. actually, the whole place’s interior design is perrrrrrrfect.
two. the seeds of change garlic rice and quinoa blend from costco. anders is so much pickier than parker was, plus he’s got eczema so he’s not eating just anything, so this is really nice. i throw it in a skillet with broccoli, or peas, or sliced organic hot dog or chicken… i’ve also put it over spinach for a sort of heartier salad for us too.
three. my newest water bottle. pretty sure it’s one of the bigger (biggest?) glass bottles on the market. i try to drink a whole one every day (though i really should be having closer to two whole ones every day, i’m sure.)
four. how parker says, “all people!” when he’s trying to get everyone’s attention. he won’t call us by name, or say “everybody” or “all you guys.” just “all people!” it’s so funny.
five. these socks. they really are so comfortable.
six. this song. listening to it all the time lately. the boys love dancing to it.
seven. gin and tonics! we are not fancy drinkers by any means (beer and wine is about as fancy as we get; we never make our own cocktails at home, anyway.) but this summer we’ve made a few gin and tonics. they’re such a nice summer drink!
eight. these amazing magnetic frame things. i just saw them at a store in portsmouth and they were awesome. i think i want to get one print, attach it to the wall with this, and put it above my bed.
nine. ALL OF THESE ROMPERS. seriously they’re sooooo cute.
ten. cooking up bacon, sauteeing kale in the fat, and then scrambling some eggs over all of it. yummmm. steve isn’t the biggest fan of kale, so any time i serve it to him he says, “this must be good for you,” as he chews it straight-faced. i like it (enough, anyway) except for the tough stem.

I’m sort of the same way. I want one readily available all the time. And if one is in the car, the dishwasher, by my bed… then I need like five right??

Do you know about the hydroflask??? Best water bottle EVER! keeps water so cold (think ice for 12+ hours) and does not sweat. The large one is 40oz. Amazing if you car cup holder fits it and if not perfect for the house. I bought one almost 2 years ago and practically gave up drinking from a cup. Worth every single dollar.

Oh man…we do the bacon fact thing with brussels sprouts or swiss chard too….it’s the best!

Where to start! Ok, I love that you do these posts, however I also want to buy like 10 things at one time. 🙂 For example, the water bottle. I am a hoarder of water bottles and I panic if I don’t have mine with me. Basically, when I started nursing my first born, I developed the habit of NEEDING water 24/7, and then it never stopped. But NOW…now, I want that pretty one…because it’s big, glass (better for me!)…and pretty(!).
I also just love following you on snap and here. I was the one chatting with you last night about my little guy not being that mobile yet. I just want to thank you for being so interactive and for feeling like another friend. You rock. Your family is adorable and I love following along with your stories. It probably also helps that I have two boys around the same ages of Parker and Anders, so I identify with a lot of the stories you tell. Like, Parker’s adorable way of saying “Hey guys!”
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy coming to your blog and thank you for sharing (you know, in case you ever wonder…is anyone out there listening?”

While in Vermont I would highly recommend the Manchester Inn. We live in Oregon and we have been there three times we love it so much.

Ha! My husband always says he feels like he’s scrubbing his insides when he eats kale. And he doesn’t mean it in a good way. Speaking of kale – I like to make Dr. Weil’s Tuscan Kale Salad. Even my husband likes it.

Also G and Ts all summer long! Hendricks is my fave with Q Tonic and a sprig of rosemary! Cheers!
