we’ve been in new jersey–a total family overlap which, with four sisters living in different places and with all different ages of kids, doesn’t happen as often as we wish it would–for a few days enjoying the beaches of stone harbor. we used to rent a house, all of us and my cousins (of which there are so many!), in sea isle every summer. i would look forward to this trip like it was christmas morning. so when parker needed a calendar to really get a grasp on how many days there were until we left, when he was talking about going to the beach all year long, when his face would light up when i’d tell him it was coming up, i thought, “memories! he’s making them now!”
attempting to get a sister picture and one breaks out in dance. technically all four are in this though they couldn’t all approve one so… me dancing. it is what it is.
my cousin missy, who’s really more like a sister, is also up from florida with her kids who are closer in age to william and lindsey, so seeing everyone just jumping in where they left off the year before and having so much fun together is so great. mix that in with some wawa-hoagie-fest (steve lives and breathes by his next wawa hoagie. the appeal of wawa will never wear off for him who didn’t grow up near one. and then using a little computer to make your hoagie is about the most exciting thing for william and lindsey. computers and food?! mix the two together?! teen dreams right there.)
this was way harder than it looks. i started on my knees and got up from that position. i clearly need to work on strength (especially if i’m climbing k2 which will only make sense if you watch my snapchat.)
denny carmody. does he look ready for anything? cause he is, people!
cousins playing. i love this view.

This post speaks to my soul on every level, I’m so looking forward to see my whole family in August again for the first time in 3 years – and to watch our kids play and have fun together like we use to have. I’m really happy for you that you have or had a great time together – these pictures all look so lovely (and like a lot of fun and laughter ;))
