i just bought these at trader joe’s this afternoon and steve looked at me like i was crazy. “i like them!” he suggested i’ll like them only until they kill me with their poison. he just doesn’t appreciate unique flowers like i do.
a recent workout. i’ve been getting to barre or core + cardio about three times a week lately and i am LOVING IT. it’s been years since i had any sort of workout routine and it feels good. also loving this shirt from rad earth supply co. (plus it’s run by two really cool chicks.)
early morning picture. not awesome of me but i love anders’ face here. oh how i love cosleeping (most of the time).
we recently had dinner and went bowling at kings’ in lynnfield. we’ve been before but it’s always a blast. it’s just such a departure from typical bowling (which, at least in the boston area, is often at kind of seedy places). food was delicious and bowling was awesome. i love that you can order food right at your bowling alley too.
a really yummy recent meal. i marinated the chicken using this easy marinade and then roasted vegetables on the grill: sweet potatoes, beets, string beans, onions… then get spring mix and mix it all together. bonus if you’ve got a strong cheese like goat or blue to sprinkle on top. and pumpkin seeds too!
these boys. anders’ is in the habit of running away from any playground these days. i’m like, “the playground IS the activity here, anders! not running from it!” that boy! he keeps me on my toes. (shirt from old navy and birks!)
i love parker’s face here as his friend viv comes down after him. fear and excitement all wrapped into one look.i rode the boys to the playground the other day and there were other kids all around. parker bit his tongue and came to me for comfort for about 1 second before running off saying very seriously, “i need to go. i need to protect anders.” he stayed near him the rest of the time, particularly if there were other kids close by anders. it made me the happiest. at the house, they can get on each other’s last nerve, but out and about? he wanted to protect him?! killing me.lindsey actually let her brothers bury her up to her head when we went to the beach father’s day weekend. you couldn’t have paid me $100 to do that!!!what’s better than being outside in the sun with an apple? maybe forever capturing rubber band wrists on camera, actually…steve looking at the present parker made him for father’s day. it’s a paper weight and it has pebbles in it spelling out “dad rocks” — he was so proud of it (and kept it a secret for a few days, which is a miracle!). i love the way they’re looking at each other here. that morning, william got up early with me and helped me make breakfast, and bring it to the bedroom where lindsey joined us to celebrate our guy.

Those bar stools in the first picture are awesome. Where are they from?
And OMG, in the fourth photo from the bottom, Parker LOOKS like a mini-version of Steve 🙂

Yum, that chicken meal looked delicious- recipe pinned so thanks for that! Also, your kitchen is perfection! The white counter height table you have in there acting as an island, may I ask where it is from? Thanks!

Hi Bridget! I love (also most of the time lol) co-sleeping with my 11 month old as well! I used your post on co-sleeping to help my husband and i get comfortable with it back when we decided it was what out lil man needed. My question: would you pretty please with a cherry on top do a post on how to know when to transition out of co-sleeping, and exactly how you achieved it with Parker?
Thank you, thank you!

hi natalie! i’m so glad that post helped you!!! yes, i will do a post on the transition because you are one of many who’ve asked! i guess i haven’t yet because i don’t have any really incredible tricks – but i’ll talk about my experience anyway! xo
