hm. sitting here trying to come up with something to write for a blog post but really all i want to write is JON SNOW IS THE GREATEST MAN WHO HAS EVER LIVED. (i went on, sort of at length, about last night’s episode on my snapchat and now i’m going to talk more about it here? are you for real, bridge?)
should i get a life? or… is this actually the pinnacle?
the latter.
let’s continue. last night’s, scratch that, sunday night’s (i only just watched it last night, however.) episode was so good. soooooo good.
man.
let’s move on. i can’t bring myself to do a post about jon snow and only jon snow.
WHAT? that’s ludicrous! absurd! preposterous! of course i can do a whole post on jon snow. heck, i could rename this blog tales of me and jon snow and be just fine with that if i want. in fact, hang on. going over to godaddy right now to grab the domain as a just in case.
ok, even though i could, i won’t. let’s talk about life lately, shall we?
i took parker to see finding dory today. it was adorable. it’s his second movie to see in the theatres, the first being planes fire and rescue. he loved it (so did i). i love when he’s got something to say in the theatre (“it’s an octopus!”) and just blurts it out having no idea of volume control.
we had burgers tonight for dinner and now is a good a time as any to tell you that horseradish (the real stuff) mixed with mayo is the best french fry dipping sauce there is.
jon snow!
(just wanted to get his name in there again.)
i have a strangely hard time buying/liking/wearing any of my shorts. i don’t know what it is about shorts but i don’t love almost any pair and would always prefer pants or a skirt to them. these look like a great pair of cut offs (a summer staple, to my mind) but are they?! ARE THEY? should i just cut the legs off a pair of my lesser-worn pants? i never do this.
you should know that steve’s watching the episode now and thus i am rewatching it because i can’t look away and because JON SNOW.
i will be so tired in the morning.
ok. battle is on. i need to focus. i’ll be back with something of more substance tomorrow, i promise. is this the most ridiculous/random blog post ever?
one more for good measure: JON SNOW!

He is amazing!!! I can’t wait for episode 10!
I love your new blog layout! Did you move from blogger to wordpress?
bridget says
i did!! the archives are my favorite part!! (style/travel/food/motherhood). they’re not lost forever in cyberspace anymore. woohoo!

Yes – my husband and I commented that we’ve never seen a battle scene like that (from Jon Snow’s viewpoint) and thus all the crazy chaos and intensity it really brought to life. Kudos to the director of the episode in particular. Holy moly. And I’m sure you watch all the nerdy shows about the show – so you know those were real horses charging at him in that scene. !!
I’m still chuckling over your renaming the blog. Hilarious, Bridget! (And yet … Sooooo tempting!)

i recently bought 4 pairs of pants at goodwill for $20 and cut them off into shorts. i also recently bought 4 pairs of shorts at gap for $100. guess which ones i wear more? goodwill. the gap shorts are dead to me. also why did i buy 8 pairs of shorts in a month?? i don’t even like shorts.

When Sansa says “You’re going to die tomorrow Lord Bolton….. sleep well” I was like yes fist pump! Jon Snow oh man I was so worried before the show I nearly bit off all my nails, I kept saying to my husband there’s no way they’re going to kill him off what was the point of him dying just to bring him back to be killed again. Next week is going to be 69 mins long…So excited lol
bridget says
YES. it was such a good episode for sansa.

J Crew 5 inch or 7 inch shorts would look great on you with your long legs!! I’m 5’6″ and wear the 5″. You can get them real cheap at J Crew Factory online.

That shot of the horses coming towards him is my favourite shot in a show in a loooooong time. I love it even more for the fact he was actually STOOD there! At first I thought it was some fab CGI, but nope, not at all!
