My window is wide open in my room as I write this, a sure sign of more wonderful weather to come. It’s mild, it’s sprinkling rain instead of snowing. Yesterday reached 75 degrees. The town was buzzing with it. Everyone was out, everyone was smiling, and, mention of the temperature came before a Hello or a How are you. 75 degrees? In March? I’m always suspect as I see the weather predictions. Will it really get that warm? Will I really be able to wear sandals? Surely not shorts (in large part because my legs pastiness will blind a man) but it could’ve been done yesterday. You couldn’t wipe the smile off Parker’s face. Or any of ours, really. William wore shorts to school. We had the sunroof open in the car, we got ice cream along with the rest of town. Anders crawled, played in the backyard, and Steve took a nap on the chaise lounge on the deck.

As we all slowly woke up this morning, Parker snuggled up with Steve on the leather chair (where you’ll always find him, if Steve is still and sitting in the chair himself), Anders throwing himself all over the couch, cushions askew, we said, “Wasn’t yesterday great?” Needless to say, we’re really excited for more of those days to come.
