Oh to sleep like a baby!
I’m hoping we finish Making a Murderer this weekend. Steve almost stayed up till midnight the other day to watch a third episode until I was all, “WE NEED TO SLEEP.” Voice of reason. Have you watched?
What happens to a woman’s brain when she becomes a mother. Fascinating.
Downton Abbey with American accents. (Not nearly as sophisticated!)
Seabins. Genius! (I still think about Oprah’s Earth Day episode with that giant trash swirl in the Pacific.)
Leggings have come a long way. (I like the tribal design.)
Hold the spinach in my smoothie, fo real?! (I can never keep up with what’s good for our health, what’s gonna kill us, pass me the bacon.)
A shorter version of the whole KonMari thing. (Plus a handy visual for the folding method.)
Of course Frye does flats well too. The cognac!
Have a good one!

I've had those Frye flats in black for years…love them!

My mother-in-law makes amazing banana bread and we always swore there had to be at least a pound of butter in every loaf until we mentioned it to her and turns out, there's actually no butter in the recipe whatsoever… It's PUDDING. She puts banana cream and vanilla pudding in her banana bread. Ugh, I am so with you on trying to keep up with what's good/what's not-so-good. Seems like every time I turn around, whatever was a "miracle food" last week, is suddenly going to kill me this week. Bacon is definitely the best answer to all our problems π Happy weekend, Bridget!

pudding! i bet it's delicious. (i'd add butter to my slice even so!!!)
happy weekend to you too!
Steve says
Haha! Oh, we DO. Even before when we thought there was already a pound of butter IN itβ "Oh my gosh this probably has SO much butter in it…" *spreads more butter on top* π

I love the photo! Looks similar to one I took of my baby guy a few weeks ago… (https://www.instagram.com/p/9JuBhSTOy_/?taken-by=shawthomps) To sleep and EAT like a baby, apparently. π
bridget says
that's adorable!!

I found the article on woman's brain fascinating. All I could think about while I was reading it, is how amazing our God is.

Amen!

Making a Murderer is particularly interesting living about an hour from where it all went down. I remember news footage from when it happened vaguely I was in high school and assumed the court got it right. My Facebook is a mess of people mindblown by Making a Murderer and others refusing to watch it because they think it's horrible to drag the Halbach family through this when he is surely a guilty man. I sit in the middle frustrated about the whole thing…the story is a horror. The murder, the misconduct, the media, the bringing it back up for those who loved Teresa, but if the wrong person(s) is in jail while the guilty party roams free, that's horrible too, and seems worth shedding a light on.

well said, kodi!

Starting Making a Murderer is the best/worst decision we made this week. Craziness.
Also, the Downton Abbey clip was spot on! Love it.

The spinach thing is honestly stressing me out!! I put handfuls in our smoothies every day and my husband and I both consume huge spinach salads every day for lunch. What do you think about it?! I need to research it more.
Great links by the way! Have a lovely week! π

I have had Thyroid problems since I gave birth to my daughter in 2012, and my thyroid specialist (an NMD, so on the more natural end of the spectrum), says that eating cruciferous vegetables – raw or cooked – is not a big deal. There is no way we could eat enough for it to cause Thyroid problems. For what it's worth!
And my husband and I are on episode three of making a murderer – about to pull my hair out, the whole thing is so frustrating and makes me nervous!
