to the man who often picks the longest story to read, and doesn’t skip pages.
to the man who sees something that needs doing in the house, and gets it done.
to the man who gets me coffee in the mug i like.
to the man who stays up with a coughing boy while i sleep.
to the man who takes band of brothers out at the library to watch with his son night after night.
to the man who still finds romance in the chaos of our life together.
to the man who still wants to date his wife.
to the man who practically skips around rome like a kid on christmas morning.
to the man who is the most selfless person i’ve ever known.
to the man who has fallen asleep with babies on him for 22 years and looks adorable doing it.
to the man who works really hard to create a beautiful life.
to the man who hums tunes from daniel tiger all day long.
to the man who goes to the grocery store week after week and buys organic peppers,
even though they’re expensive, because his wife said so.
to the man who has days where he feels like george bailey but always comes out on the other side.
to the man who can read berlioz the bear with perfect execution thousands of times.
to the man who has dreams and figures out a way to make them happen.
to the man who is constantly self-evaluating, and going through life with so much care and kindness.

Haha the Daniel Tiger one made me laugh. I teach preschool and am very familiar with DT. I just realized I have one more reason to be excited to have kids… then my husband will know firsthand some of the things I talk about at the end of a workday!
