it’s the week of christmas! there’s so much to be thankful for.
whenever parker and i are in the car together lately, i ask him,
“what are you thankful for, buddy?”
sounds trite but i’m trying to really instill a spirit of gratefulness in him.
a lot of the times his answer is his cars or his books
but i’m thinking one of these days he’s going to get really deep on me, right?!
as deep as the above selfie is maybe? (eye roll)
here’s my list:
1. the warm weather (66 degrees in a few days!)
2. it’s a wonderful life movie
3. hot showers
4. my family, oh my family!!
5. music (loving the oh hello’s new album lately)
6. lotion (dry hands!)
7. eggs and buttered toast
8. warm slippers (i finally bought myself these and i’m calling it my christmas bonus)
9. you! (for real. cheesiness aside, so glad you guys are here. THANK YOU.)
10. my girlfriends. where would i be without them??
you?

Great list! Thankful for my handsome husband who is an amazing daddy and fully capable of being by himself with our kids for days… Ok I haven't ever left for more than a day but I'm confident he could do it and probably still have a clean house. He's a superstar. And I'm thankful for healthy kids who are so joyful. The list could go on for days.

buttered toast – I love that!
For me it would be:
– family and friends
– kind and generous people who always manage to strengthen or restore my belief in humanity
– a husband who builds me bookshelves for our anniversary
– meal plans
– the internet or the amazing people contributing to it, so I don't feel that alone with some of my thoughts (is that vague enough to not be too cheesy? 😉 )

not cheesy at all! 🙂
