“anders, you want ALL the stuffed animals?” // blackbird doughnuts! and yes, they’re good! // parker at the library where i’m almost certain he picked up a stomach bug (a few weeks back, however. all good now!); i’m the type who likes to really zero in on WHERE THE GERMS ORIGINATED FROM. is it that very dvd he’s holding?!?
those lips! yes they do get kissed about eight million times a day! // my favorite mug, shucks emoi emoi // hanging with the two littlest hunt boys
CLICK FOR MORE, PEOPLE.
we went ice skating a few weeks ago (parker’s first time) and it was SO CUTE. i mean, check out parker’s footwork here. i watched from the sidelines with anders. // baby feeeeeeeet!!! // and baby kisses too, duh.
cars tattoos // a freshly bathed anders is so delicious you could spread him on toast, i tell you what // william and i had a selfie break during our shoveling. shoveling is RIDICULOUS right now too, by the way. nowhere for the snow to go, you end up catapulting it and crossing your fingers it lands on top of the nearest pile instead of rolling down it onto the freshly shoveled sidewalk below.
surviving the winter with facials and wine with friends!!! // surviving with croissants and coffee too! // and finally… napping with my guy
woah… photo OVERLOAD. did you get all that? i haven’t done one of these in awhile so my apologies for the photo dump (if you’ve made it this far, you get the apology. if you skipped out early, well, too bad for you.). these days the world is one color and one color only (white, everywhere you look, out every window), and it feels a little bit like we’re cursed. steve joked, “i hope summer falls on a weekend in august this year!” we went to costco the other day and parker just ran back and forth in the empty aisles like it was a prison break. poor kid. can’t believe how well he’s coping given the circumstances. sometimes (twice a day, minimum) he’ll run from the front of the house to the back commanding us all to yell, “go parker, go parker!” while he does. i’m really envying those people who had the fortuitous idea (and the money) to build an indoor basketball court attached to their house. which, i realize, is almost no one but what lucky people indeed!
i took the boys to target the other day and it was a shit show. i was searching for argan oil (review to come!) and no one could find it, and anders was screaming, and i was literally nursing him in the aisle out of desperation and out of determination. I SHAN’T RETURN HOME WITHOUT MY ARGAN OIL DAMMIT. then i got to the checkout line only to discover my wallet was left in the car. it was a comedy of errors and i felt the pitiful looks of many. alas, we made it home in one piece and… yes! with my argan oil!
parker’s actually begun shaking his head out the outdoors and saying things like, “i’m over it.” a phrase i didn’t even know he knew, but i guess we’re all saying it a lot these days? and william and lindsey are on february break. which is really more like an extended february snow-month because they’ve already had so many (okay, four) snow days this month alone. and, in our quiet times, i promise anders there is more to this world than snow and cold. that we actually live near the beach! and that, depending on weather summer falls on a weekday or weekend, we’ll hopefully get a spot at the beach parking lot and he’ll get his opportunity to see it!
is it as depressing as it sounds?
summer, come quick!

Your little man is so sweet (little men, actually)! It's wild out there, isn't it? I'm LOVING all the snow, since it means snow days from work and bonus time with my little guy, who is almost five months, but my goodness, I can't imagine being so cooped up with a toddler, too!

Love all these little life photos! I've been like you – tracking my kiddos sicknesses to the snotty child extending a hug at the playground … how dare she??
