birth announcements + a giveaway with minted! :: CLOSED

minted is probably my number one site to browse when it comes time to send christmas cards or birth announcements (a tradition i just can’t quit, even though i spend two-plus hours addressing them!).  their designs are amazing, the fact that you can tinker with the layout a bit is perfect (for instance, this design as it was didn’t work perfectly with the picture i used, so i moved anders’ stats to the bottom right of the card so his face wasn’t covered at all.).  the little add-ons are awesome: you can do brown kraft envelopes instead of white, you can do scalloped edges, rounded corners, liners in the envelopes, so on and so forth.  it’s all eye-candy over there, basically.  (have you seen their children’s art???  it’s so lovely.) the process is simple and there is always a set of eyes on your design before it goes to print.

  17. Heirloom scroll is darling! So many options- it's hard to decide. I can't weed out the overtly masculine or feminine ones yet though… as we don't know (yet- 24 days!) to expect a he-man-woman-hater or ya know, someone made of sugar and spice and chemical x.

  41. Your card is beautiful and so classic! I'm due in April and already look like a beached whale. Browsing Minted designs definitely helped perk me up and reminded me of the light at the end of the tunnel! My favorites are a toss up between the chic baby birth announcements and the classic cutie birth announcements.

I have +70 cousins across the country so minted cards are the way we stay in touch via holiday cards and birth announcements.   76. Beautiful birth announcements – Anders looks amazing in this photo. I melt over the Simple Hello foil design (although that could be because of the gorgeous baby in the basket!). I love Minted and used them for my wedding invitations, new home announcements, etc. Their address printing is a lifesaver!

  79. I love minted! I eyed them up for birth announcements & Christmas cards but..then they didn't happen. I'm hoping to make up for it by sending moving announcements around the same time as our daughter's first birthday. Ontario to Florida – its a pretty big deal. And with relatives around the world (My husband's a dual Dutch-Australian citizen & I'm Canadian), postage really addes up. A $150 credit would be ah-mazing! (We'll be spending at least that on postage…)

  84. it's impossibly hard to pick a favorite! but i really love the "ribbon banner" design a lot. but i think a lot of it would depend on what picture i chose to put on the postcard. but our first babe isn't here yet! he was due a week ago and at my appointment today i was told i'm dilated to 5cm so hopefully he'll be here soon 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win!
