anders, 7 weeks: he’s starting to attempt laughs and babbling. also, his eyes follow me around the room when he’s not in my arms which is really, really cute.
parker, 3 years: …still dressing up “all the pime!” (as he would say.)
*anders’ sleep sack was sent to us by merino kids. i’m sort of obsessed with keeping him warm and over the past few days i’ve just slipped him right into it when we wake up. it does the trick and looks really cute too. unzips easily for diaper changes (and even has a place to insert the car seat buckle if need be). machine washable and with plenty of room to grow. downside: you don’t get to see his chunky thighs, or delicious feet. poor winter babies (or poor mom?). thanks merino kids!
Hey Bridget! I can't get enough of your little family, so please keep posting these sweet and simple shots. 🙂 I had a question whose relevance is somewhat lacking, but here goes: do you have any advice on how to get into a routine with your newborn? I am a first-time mother of a beautiful baby boy (only one week younger than your own), and while I love every second of the job, I still feel like there's this overwhelming mutability when it comes to feeding, sleeping, etc. I love the surprises, don't get me wrong, I just know that some sort of system (especially for nighttime feedings and such, because boy, do I miss sleep sometimes) would benefit all of us eventually, and I'm not sure how to get the ball rolling on creating it. I've talked with friends who say they have made it so that their baby sleeps pretty much through the night now, and I don't really even think that's my goal at the moment (because I do love our little moments at 3 am 🙂 ), but I just would like to help make nighttime more recognizable and distinguishable from daytime for him. If you have any insights, I would be so happy to hear them!
