it feels a little like we’re in go-time even though i could have a month (or more) left. i was checking out at costco the other day and the lady goes, “getting close!” and i said, in agreement, “yeah! i’m 35 weeks!” and she was like, “oh gosh, i thought it was sooner than that.”
and in august… in auuuugust, a man said, “you got your bags packed and ready to go?!” i said, “due in december.”
silence.
i can’t say i’m someone who gets really mad at those comments, though i can understand how they rub some pregnant women the wrong way.
but now we’re 36 weeks and based on how my body feels, it feels like any day now. remember this post? i was all, “take forever, sweet baby!” this pregnancy is much different. i don’t know whether this baby is much lower in my pelvis or what, but i am sore. i went for a 2.5 mile walk (a slow, meandering walk. don’t give me too much credit.) yesterday and said to steve, “i don’t remember feeling this sore on the walk we went on the day i gave birth to parker.” at all. it’s all in my pelvis, and at night it makes me move like an 80-year old. so while, yes, sweet baby, take all the time you need… i also wouldn’t mind if you came nearish your due date.
(and also because i really, really want to meet you. not just because my pelvis may break in two.)

I know exactly how you feel! Everything felt lower the second time around. My sciatic nerve was so bad the second time around…my husband loved to tease me about my pimp strut 🙂 Hang in there, mama!
bridget says
pimp strut. lol. steve just looks at me and, with his face all contorted, says, "you… just… look… uncomfortable."

I'm 24 weeks and people keep telling me I'm not showing….it's so frustrating because I feel like I am! You really can't make us pregnant women happy!

Love those pants! The whole look is awesome.
Yes, the pelvic pain gets worse each pregnancy. My doctor said it's because the liagments have been stretched and weakened from the previous pregnancy. My third had me in tears at their office because the soreness was so bad. Good news is second deliveries are much faster and easier!
bridget says
that is good news 🙂

I've never seen anyone as "all baby" as you…. you just could not be any more beautiful Ms. B! I can't wait to meet the little guy too and see your awesome photography from snowy Minnesota! Love your outfit. (does Steve take these pictures?)
bridget says

I don't know anything about pregnancy, but your bump does look pretty low so maybe that's it. You look GORGEOUS by the way!

You look so beautiful and the autumn light is stunning, wow.
I must admit I'm bit disappointed though, no sweats, no XL flannel 😉
bridget says

I was SO sore at this point with my second, like walked with the worst waddle ever…my pelvis just hurt and that sweet baby was just pushing harder each day. So close, hang in there mama!!!

Even though you're hurting you still look great!! Also, people seriously have no filter when it comes to saying things to pregnant women! I had heard about it but, never quite believed it… I do now though! It really baffles me more than anything.

I'm sorry that you are sore, but you have to be the cutest pregnant lady I've ever seen! I hope to maintain style when I go through pregnancy 🙂

I remember trying to roll over and feeling like my pelvis was in two pieces (because it probably was at that point). And that was with a baby that sat HIGH. Hopefully the fact that he is low means he will make an early (yet safe) entrance. 🙂
You look so cute!
Christy says
I remember that feeling well… :/
