{stop motion is not as easily as it looks, and this is reeeeally poorly done stop motion. so, you know, my hats off to those who nail it. focus on the stool and you’ll get dizzy. also, invest in a good tripod if this is your thing. though, you’d probably already know that if it is indeed your “thing.”}
so… a crafty post from me to you. you know this should be good (that’s dripping with sarcasm and if you’ve been around these parts long enough, you know that.). i get as crafty as a bottle of spray paint will allow. and this is a halloween crafty sort of one. seeing as lindsey was the color pink last year, let’s gooooo. (but in my defense, rosie the riveter was pretty cool.)
so, my assignment. come up with something, diy-style (do we all know what that means at this point? is the abbreviation enough? just in case like my mother-in-law is reading and hasn’t yet been familiarized with diy: diy is do it yourself.). and, as if that wasn’t challenging enough for the not-so-crafty, we were to take inspiration from the pottery barn kids costumes.

i played it pretty safe though, pretty safe indeed. perhaps too safe but i still think we outdid last year’s color pink so there’s that. lindsey and i decided on a witch! yes, a witch shouldn’t be too hard. and, chances are you have almost everything you need for a witch right in the comfort of your own home. you can see our inspiration for the witch here. right above kid costumes. please don’t look too close nor judge too harsh. k thanks.
ingredients: a hat, a dress, leggings, and a human girl! oh, and wait, some boots too. or better yet some witchy heels! now that would be perfect. (and if you’re feeling saucy, like we apparently were, some ripped up sequined leggings, bada-bing, bada-boom! move over glinda! new witch in toooown!)
and watch this! a little flick of the wrist and the witch becomes…
