i think i’m way late to the sam edelman party, but nevertheless i’d like these booties please.
i’ve gotten kickstarter emails before but this particularly struck a chord. father michael shane (exec. producer of catch me if you can and irobot) lost his daughter emily on the PCH in malibu. one of apparently many losses on a particularly dangerous stretch of that highway. find out more here.
i scored above blazer for $30 at anthro. that, my friends, is a win.
i made corn on the cob last night and grated a ton of locatelli cheese (wins over parmesan any day of the week) over it loosely following melissa’s recipe. it was really good if you’re looking for a variation from the typical (though, typical corn on the cob is pretty great any day of the week too.).
i love this necklace.
forgive me… but dare i say it, this outfit actually makes me excited for fall? i promise not to inundate you with PUMPKINLATTECOOKIECAKECANDLES all of fall though. by september 20th, i think we’ve all had enough pumpkin.
two congratulations are in order. my good friend rachael had her daughter number two, joan bea, and had the birth she’d hoped for. and one of my good friends from home (this one’s you, kelly!) had a little girl named kathryn last week and also had a fabulous birth experience. so to rachael and kelly, kudos!! new births get me all happy and excited (and a little wistful, if i’m being honest. i’m a birth-story junkie.).
and that is all.
Love love love this blazer! What a win indeed.
saw that blazer in anthro and wanted it. and also, i have a friend that used to work for sam edelman. apparently he's a HUGE asshole. randomfactsbyemily.com 🙂
what!? bummer. forget you and your shoes sam. (maybe.)
i'm joining you to the laate Sam Edelman party and a total sucker for birth stories as well. I'm new to your blog, but follow your instagram feed…love your story girl! 🙂
thank you diana!
That is a freaking good deal- props to you. This outfit is really cute and I love that you are in such good shape even with your crazy life:) it gives me hope!!
if you're late to the party I'm dead on arrival or something because — just now discovering them.
hotttty. love this outfit.
grace, you were probs giving birth when sam edelman became hip. you're excused.
Love your shoes, darling blazer too!
PLEASE tell me you are trying to be aware of GMO corn lady! From a lot of the articles I've read, even organic corn is no longer considered safe from GMO from all of the cross pollinating. We avoid corn like the plague in our house these days, soy as well. My love affair with Trader Joe's has come to an end once I started reading the ingredient lists on their foods, soy in EVERYTHING. : (
i am trying! and when i buy it frozen i always get organic but i never see organic cob options! i will say, we definitely don't overdo it on the corn… this is only my second corn-on-the-cob all summer! but dammit, those GMOs!!!
I know. Such a sad and disgusting thing that our government let happen. Not sure if it can ever be undone. Makes me want to move to Europe for the food safety alone…and the health of my kids.
I'm also lusting over the Sam Edelman Petty boots! So cute! And I think you need that sweet H necklace!
you're right. i do need it. hear that steve?!
Love the blazer, I used to work for Anthro before I had babies, and their stuff goes on sale almost every week and can get down to $10 in store on some pieces. Doing merchandising for them was so fun!!
oh gorgeous! you're so beautiful. inside and outside! and I just LOVE your jacket! just awesome!
you better do a full post dedicated to me when i give birth for the 2nd time.
also, you are attractive.
went into antrho yesterday… torture!! love this outfit!
Okay, you win for best location to take outfit photos.
Yo I want that blazer. Headin' out to Anthro this weekend. And I still don't have a pair of Sam Edelman's, but those booties are supah cute.
You look fab as always. And I love birth stories too! It's crazy, because I've done it twice and I know very well how it goes, but there's just something spiritually uplifting about acknowledging that new life is being brought in to the world everywhere. Pretty remarkable.
Great jacket dear. Love the location too.

Hey! Thank you for the congrats!
I really think we need booties for fall. A worthy investment. What else will we wear??
I would never have picked up that blazer in a million years but it looks awesome! I'm no good at rack shopping (Joan's coming in October, thank goodness. We'll all have to go to Zara together.)
I saw that recipe and thought cheese! mayonnaise! yum.
joan coming? TAKE ME SHOPPING (i am the sad tagalong in this story.)
i guess booties and leggings?
Seriously, what a score! $30 blazer! I love it paired with those olive pants. I'm such a sucker for olive pants. I wear them more than jeans!
$30 at anthro… that is SUCH a win. amaazing!
That is literally the best cropped jacket I have ever seen (!!!)
