so often when my mom’s here, it’s for a specific occasion. thanksgiving, christmas, a birthday. time to kill is scarce whether we’re shopping for a meal, cooking said meal, meeting up with people… we don’t get a chance to venture around the city much. we made use of the fact that this trip was just a ‘fun trip’ if you will so we spent some time in boston. not long enough, but time nevertheless.
i know it’s nothing new, but i just love boston. do you love boston? you should. and if you’ve never been, you just need to come.
You all look like you're having the greatest time. And Parker's little booties are just killin' me.
I have never been to Boston but its on my to do list
Can you believe I've never been to Boston? It's a tragedy. I'm not that far away.
Must visit soon.
Your outfit is amazing. xx
P looks adorable. well, you all do actually.
have never been to boston. have only been on the east coast once and that was to nyc just last spring. for some reason i always go west. and those states are so darn big. you can travel thru like 7 of them and drive for a week!
someday east coast, someday.
I agree Boston is one of my favorites too. I feel pretty blessed to be able to jaunt into the city whenever I please. On another note…LOVE the outfit! Happy weekend!
Your photography skills are crazy good. I've been following your blog for a while and they just seem to be getting better and better.
never been and soo would like to! and definitely treasure mama timeโsounds like a perfectly fun day ๐
..by the way where in the HECK are your awesome yellow pants from!? i love them.
@casey Ann, f21! long time ago though but I bet they've got something like em now!
@kate, that is RIDICULOUS
@dancing branflake, nicest compliment. thank you!
Great photos! Parker's little jacket is adorable.
I was a rower in and always wanted to race in the Head of the Charles. My high school team went the year after I graduated, and so did my collegiate team. If only my parents had waited a couple of months to get preggers. I would have 2 Boston races under my belt! That's so nice y'all got a day to just BE with each other. No plans or holidays!
May I ask which cowl? Is it the Clermont? I love how it's a bit looser than some of the ones I've seen, and so cozy for fall/winter. I've been a reader for awhile but have never commented, but I live in Somerville and work in Boston and so I'm glad you are showing some love for our fair city. It's some of the best New England has to offer for sure. Also, Parker is such a cutie!
@lucy, its the lille!
@lauren, you'll just have to come back and rent a sailboat on the charles for the day or something!! am i right?!
What a lil doll face parker is!!! Where do you shop for his clothes? We just found out we are having a little boy and I have a strong dislike for shirts with cartoons on them or witty sayings haha, I am more of a solid color or pattern type girl esp when it comes to boy clothing, and I love how you dress parker that is they style I like.
@laura, congratulations!!! little boys are the best. i shop at a bunch of different places for him… favorites being h&m, old navy, zara, and zulily!
moms are the best ๐
love your photos! i'll say it again; could Parker BE cuter???
love parker's uggs
@ashley, thanks! they're fakes, but look pretty cute nonetheless!
I LOVE boston. I visited some family there and luckily they let me drag them everywhere I wanted to go. I am OBSESSED and can not wait to go back. Top 5 favorite cities!
I have been to London, Paris, Istanbul, Seville, Barcelona, LA, and DC, and Boston is still my favorite.
What a beautiful day.
Hi Bridget,
I just saw that my favorite photographers Blue Lily are looking for a woman 25-35 that lives in the Boston area for a modelling shoot. I think it's for organic baby food. I instantly thought of you!
Love your blog!!
Gorgeous photos, and looks like you had a lovely time.
Just letting you know i'm hosting a giveaway at the moment, hope you enter: http://www.underlockandkeyblog.com/2012/10/flora-beauty-giveaway.html
LOVE boston ๐ My husband and I lived in the Back Bay and Jamaica Plain… and now we are in Chicago, which is great, but doesn't have the "New England Charm" if you know what I mean. He's applying to a teaching job at Berklee right now, his alma mater, and if he gets it, we will be back in a hearbeat! *fingers crossed*
Parker looks like such the little Urban Explorer in these pics, and time with Mom is definitely the BEST. Mine comes to visit for two whole weeks soon, and I find it hilarious how giddy I am about it… though, I know she is primarily excited about seeing her granddaughters!! ๐
I've never been to Boston, but I've heard great things.
Isn't it always such a treat to have your mom around? I love when my mom is around to help out with holden…and he loves it too!
Also, I'm kind of obsessing over your mustard pants! Where did you get them?
xo,
Isobel
