now.
google: post-pregnancy constipation.
then.
at the barnes & noble, i peruse the magazine stacks and grab an us weekly, in style, and vogue.
now.
the no-cry sleep solution, barefoot contessa’s how easy is that?, and pride and prejudice.
then.
start a movie at 10:00.
now.
end the movie by 10:00. get in bed.
then.
changing the sheets when they’re the least bit dirty.
now.
just a little bit of spit up? that’s ok. a little baby poop? well, did it leak through to the mattress pad? what is the circumference of the yellow spot? how much are we talking? 3 inches? the sheets stay on!
then.
lingerie.
now.
nursing bras.
then.

now.
disney’s lullabies.
it would appear that life got more… boring? but, i quite like it this way. there’s a lot of sweetness happening all around, even with early bed times and baby-poo sheets. it’s life and it’s good stuff, say i!

The circumference of the poop spot?! HAHA That is greatness.

I couldn't agree more! And we're a 5 inch family. Anything below 5 inches doesn't deserve being laundered! 🙂

Love this! It's fun to think about then and now. Poopie sheets and all. My life back then didn't have my man so it definitely was much more lame.

Love this post and I couldn't agree more! Life is good, poop sheets and all!

i love this. you're right, it can seem boring, but it's all in your perspective. all those "now" things point to bigger things than yourself (well except maybe postpartum constipation, haha!), and add so many layers to your life! thanks for sharing!

Loving this post.
You were adorable as a little! You still have that same expression.
How about then: reading blogs all day.
Now: making time for just Bridget's.

oh good. I thought we were the weird sheet family. I used to be an every-friday-change-the-linens kind of girl. now. not so much. We should so be in one of those before and after Tide commercials:-) xoxo

Oh the things that will make me leave a comment nowadays. Maybe this will help with your google search. I suffered from during preg constipation from the beginning(not sure what will happen post cause I am 4 days overdue). 2-3 tsps of unprocessed wheat bran in a smoothie EVERY morning. I pay for it if I miss it.
Jenni@Story of My Life says
hahaha this definitely made me chuckle… especially the one about changing the sheets. Good one Bridge.

And hey, I'm with you on the time of sleep! I'm in bed right at 10! Well, except for when I'm writing this (at 10:42pm) but that's an exception!

Lovely post Bridget! Even without kiddos, with 30 fast approaching for me, I feel like I'm starting to look more and more boring to my 17 year old self – but I love my life more than ever. Domesticity is totally my new thing!
