That was a lot of exclamation points. Basically, I’m trying to cover a whole host of events in one mass post. So, pictures it is! Here’s what we’ve been up to lately: anniversary-celebrating, gift-wrapping, house-festooning, gift-opening, food-eating, sleeping, driving (to nj!)… and a bunch of stuff in between. Christmas was really, really nice. It was a chill day in which I didn’t get out of my pajamas. Hurrah! Everyone enjoyed their new gifts and I’m speaking for them when I say here are the favorites: Nathaniel–a basketball, or maybe his Aeropostale clothes? Jordan–clothes, he’s into clothes these days, or the new Zelda Wii game? William–Legos, duh. Lindsey–her first camera or maybe this book which might be the coolest ever. Parker–why, his Band-in-a-Box of course!
We ate a yummy breakfast and watched movies, had a fire, and relaxed. Two days later we packed up for my parent’s house on the Jersey shore (not the Snooki Jersey shore… the classy Jersey shore). We hung out with family, met the newest nephew (my sister Erinn had herself a baby boy!), and relaxed some more. Parker was the bomb in the car and the love I already had for him grew exponentially when I realized he could chill in a car seat for 7 hours and remain a pretty happy guy. You’re the sh*t, little man (it doesn’t count when you put a star in place of the i!). Now, we’re home, 2012 is here, and it’s all good.
the things that jumped out at me:
colorful jeans, red & green, super cute.
the little scratch marks on parkers face in that pic where he is reaching his hand out. my kids still scratch themselves on the face. when does it end?

Nessa and Bridget…Everett quit scratching himself when he figured out it didn't hurt as much but was as fun to scratch me instead!
Parker…Everett got the same shape sorter. Mike was all, "He's too young for this!" and then Everett proceeded to sort each shape correctly for hours.
Just kidding. He probably is too young for it.
@elizabeth, i feel like he's too young for annny real toys, but he got them anyway – and yes, he likes to scratch me too. and the biting. at least 3 times now. benefit to your baby getting teeth later? they get that it's NOT OK.

@lesley, i will admit, sometimes the oldest gets a little bored… train rides?? little kid movies? but we try to throw in fun for all. and when all else fails, buy them food!

Bridget…he has a tooth now! I just saw the very beginnings of it yesterday when he kept wanting to be held and held and held, and I was all, "Open your mouth, mister" and there it was.

Busy & FUN holiday time, it seems! I thought I should tell you, I bought the Farm Anatomy book at your suggestion for my dad (the Iowa farmer!) and he LOVED it. And my brother, who farms with my pops, well, they pretty much tugged it out of each other's hands once it was opened! I mean, they loved it like I might love a new scarf or fingernail polish! :)Thanks for this clever gift idea!!!

I am not sure how I came across your blog but it was a few months ago. I saw the Jersey Shore reference and had to comment. You had me hooked on your post with the picture of you pregnant in front of Mack and Mancos. I live in OC NJ all summer with my mom, siblings and all of their off spring. I always get the sideways looks and comments after that ridiculous MTV show.
I also live outside of Philadelphia the rest of the year. I enjoy reading about your adorable crew and your adventures. The big and little ones. Parker is too sweet. Happy New Year!
