parker helped me with the laundry. such a big help he was. william and lindsey put on a play for parker who is getting acquainted with his crib (and fell asleep in it all by himself a few days ago! i was all, “go parker!” and then, “wait?! but you still need me, right?!”). anyway, elizabeth’s pup plushie had a starring role in the play. then, steve and i took the fam to our fave mexican bistro for nachos and guac. it was deeelicious. then we walked around town until it got sort of dark (darn time change!) and ended the night with some cocoa-to-go. jordan came too. he had to be semi-forced but steve and i are of the minds that teens have to be forced to have family time and that, in the end, it’s good for them. we came home and lindsey and i made these delicious donut muffins. really easy too. then, i curled up on the sofa with parker asleep on me and watched hitch with steve and jordan. that is until i fell fast asleep around 9:30. and that, my friends, was our weekend.
Parker is so dang cute.
Donut muffins?! I'm making these.
I saw pup before you even told me he was there. Good eyes, E, good eyes.
And way to go Parker on the crib! You will love it there. But you will never stop loving sleeping with Mommy either. Sometimes EE wakes up early (like 4am) just so he can come sleep in the big bed with his mommy (that'd be me).
I love your jacket! It's so cute!

Mexican food and donut muffins? Perfect weekend!
gawd those muffins look awesome.
I love that last picture of Parker. His eyes seem to be saying, "What?! No! It wasn't me!"
Also kind of in love with his hat in that photo. What a stud.
that sounds delightful! parker is a cutie pie in those first laundry basket pictures. jeez. and also, how did you just birth a baby mere months ago? you look ravishing. and super skinny. as always. and also, heck yes to the forced family time. he'll love it eventually. damn teenagers.
i love seeing their little play for him. my sister and i used to put on plays like that for our parents. so much better than video games.
oh, and, time change, you can change back now. i despise it too! hate the early to go dark days.
Those muffins look awesome! Were they as good as they look and as good as the Allrecipe reviews were? I want one now..
@elizabeth, parker has no choice. he's in our bed till he's 10. now if THAT ain't birth control i don't know what is.
@wildchild, i love that you said damn teenagers. i think it often!
@stacie, they were really good. my only change is that i might've added cinnamon to the actual muffins (not just the topping). maybe even instead of the nutmeg? so easy to make too.
and that…sounds like a great weekend!! PS- Jordan will appreciate the forced family time…later.
sounds like a wonderful weekend! 🙂
Going to try the donut muffins.
Great pictures! your little one is so cute!

Love the pic of William putting on a stuffed toys show for Parker. It almost looks like he's in baby jail (the true name and meaning of a crib). He's getting so big!
what a perfect weekend!
and parker is off the charts.
his face slays me it's so cute.
and the donut muffins? gimme gimme!
Looks and sounds like a wonderful weekend! Love all the pics 🙂
sounds like a perfectly sweet weekend indeed 🙂 I have similar photos of my little Brooks "helping" me with laundry when he was little! love it 🙂
william and lindsey's play for their little brother…too adorable for words 🙂
and thanks for the link to the donut muffins recipe! i have all the ingredients and will be making them for family night tonight…sounds perfect with a cup of hot cocoa 🙂
I know you're joking, but I know a family who does that shit for real and their son is going through puberty as of like yesterday, and things are getting really weird.
PS…my last comment is in reference to your comment about Parker co-sleeping until he's 10.
Just clearing that up.
Is lindsey wearing fleece footed pajamas? The last photo sort of looks like it!
Absolutely adorable. Parker is giving me baby fever 🙂
those muffins look amazing. making them pronto.
@elizabeth, AND WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT (just kidding).
@shannon, she sure is – onesies are all the rage these days.
@alena, parker gives ME baby fever and he's my baby.
Seriously, he's the most adorable little helper 🙂
I'm feeling weird about the ten year old co-sleeping. Please tell me it's a King size bed at least.
love the picture of parker in the laundry basket! sounds like a great weekend.
@kathrine, agreed. we need to hear details. or maybe not. i can't decide.
He is so darn cute! Looks like a great weekend 🙂
great pictures, and now i could go for some cocoa to go!
