“waah, waah, waahhhh.” that’s what you’re probably saying… sarcastically, that is. this isn’t a pity party. no, no it’s not. ok, maybe just a small one. but, with parker asleep beside me (see?), i spent way too long last night (this night, but last night, as you’re reading this tomorrow… goodness, that didn’t need such explaining did it?) scouring the pages of pinterest. for the first time, mind you. i suppose i am the very last to climb on board? but now, i get it! i get it people! and i know right now the word pinterest is like swoon, cupcakes, and hipster glasses in the blog world (all of which i kind of love and wish i could take credit for) and i tried to stay away, but alas, i couldn’t. i got sucked in. and hardly made it out. so now, i’ve pinned style + food + decor + party ideas + kid’s clothes + do-it-yourself goodies so far up the wazoo that if i actually did it all, parker would starve, steve would find a new wife, and a mad rebellion would start in the house so big that it’d take a truckload of coca-cola to pacify the kids. plus, by the time it was all done, i’d be like eighty. anyway, goodness gracious, that site is chock full of ideas that make me wiiiish i could sew, craft, and have an unlimited budget to try and fail at these things a few times before i get it right. unfortunately, this is not the case, but in the meantime, i will keep dreaming. without further adieu… some of my favorite pins:

i just hopped onboard, too and i can't quite figure it out. may have something to do with a crappy internet situation and constant loadshedding.
Besides Pinterest just being trendy, it's also an INCREDIBLE way to organize the things you find on the web. It's so, so, so much better than just adding things to your favorites bar or whatever! It's like a virtual filing cabinet, with pictures and links to exactly what you need. A-maze-ing. I'm following you now!!

I just caved last week as well! And even though it's inspiring, I find myself thinking "Yeah, sew a dress…I still need to do the dishes!" Ha.
What annoys me with pinterest is how many pictures were once pinned from my blog that now I cant see 🙁 Maybe cause I never signed up? I'm so vain. I love that first dress. I wrote an email to you in my head this morning. HAVE A GREAT DAY!

I haven't climbed aboard the pinterest train yet. Every time I read a rave review its accompanied by the writer's desire to quit everything and pin/craft/creativity all the day long. I don't know if I have the self-control for pinterest. 🙂

So for about, I dont know, three hours yesterday I curated my dream home on Pinterest. By the end I was like "this has got to stop!" It's just so addicting.
i love it. it's my after work activity to delve into a world of party dresses, beautifully cooked dinners, and vacations.
i kind of want those bunk beds for myself… except that top one makes me nervous. don't worry. i've still never been to pinterest. you're not the last! : )
Looks like you drank the kool aid. Welcome! The good news is that if you take a day, week or even month break from it, when you come back there will ALWAYS be amazing idieas and such on it. That's why I love it. It's not like Facebook where I feel like if I don't check it once a day than I might as well delete my account because I'll never catch up.
Pinterest is THE BEST. I could spend hours and hours and days and days on it. I don't even have a boyfriend but I have my dream wedding all planned out because of pinterest 🙂

hahaha i love this. i avoided joining pinterest for a year b/c i didn't want to allow platform apps access to my facebook. but then i finally joined and yes, i spent probably the first week going to bed at 3am every night b/c i was pinning. but now i'm much much more casual about it 🙂 have fun!

oh man, don't get me started… I think 80% of my insomnia is directly related to finding Pinterest. But I looooove it! I especially like finding amazing pictures of places I want to travel, amazing interior decorating, and food that I will probably never cook, but looks oh-so-delicious! haha!
