today we have a sponsor giveaway from a specialty foods company, salt traders. a little over a month ago they sent me their salt blend collection and has it ever been fun to use in my kitchen. the labeling is cute (always a plus) and the combinations are endless (on the side of each salt, they even give you ideas of how to use it!).
here are some things i did: i tried the sagemary salt on mashed potatoes… divine. the smoked paprika on a breakfast of scrambled eggs and homefries… yum. the aleppo chile salt sprinkled on some pizza… mmhmm. i mixed the porcini salt in with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and fresh lemon juice to make the perfect salad dressing. the vanilla salt will have to wait until it can rim my glass of rum and coke after baby arrives. you get the point. endless i tell you, endless!
lucky for you they are giving away not one but THREE of their salt blend collections. that’s three winners, woot woot! perfect for you, your mom or dad, or the hostess-with-the-mostest whose invited you over for easter. pair it with a bottle of wine and you are done!
be sure to check out their website as the products go far beyond salt: flavored oils, cocoa blends, sugars, raw honey (my fave & with a fabulous logo to boot!), and more.
giveaway closes friday. good luck!
nicole marie, roxanne, and natalie are the winners. congrats!

PS: I can't believe your mom can do the splits…I can't even do a cartwheel!
I am drooling. I would love to try the porcini salt in my risotto. Yum! But the real taste challenge would be to take them all and try each one separately on popcorn. That would make for a magical foodie evening in my house.
Great giveaway! I would love to try the vanilla salt, I love to make cake pops and I think the vanilla salt might be nice sprinkled on top!

OK this is a little silly to admit, but I eat so much salt that I swear when I cry or my eyes water (which is a lot lately since it's allergy season here in Arkansas) it burns my face! I know this is probably totally impossible, but I can't think of anything else it could be! I especially love salt in soups and salad dressings. Cheers!
this stuff looks awesome! i would use it to flavor some of kate's food since she's gluten-free, dairy-free, etc. hope i win!
