this is my happy place. well, my 5’10” frame is a little on the large side for it since it’s just your basic tub (something which i sincerely hope to remedy in a future home… i’m thinking big tub, deep tub, jets and all). but nevertheless i can turn off the lights, light a candle or two, and submerge myself in the hottest water i can stand. these days, i’m kind of needing it. the kids have had more snow days than they’ve had school days in the last three weeks, and now the school days are rudely moving in on our special beach-waves-and-bbq summertime (that’s already way too short if you ask me). on top of that, my world is covered in white–the trees, the sidewalks, the streets. snow is everywhere. so, my bathtub, my playlist, my little world. here it is.
i'm with you on the hottest possible water thing. i nearly give myself 3rd degree burns every time i get in.

enya never fails. i have so many friends who laugh at me for being a fan… but when you're stressed, upset, can't sleep, and need to zone out and calm yourself down… enya is always there for you. right? right.

goodness i love this post. it makes me want to go get in my tub that my 6'0 frame is too large for.
We had the exact same thought… I relaxed in my bathtub for almost 3 hours tonight. It was great. I love baths they are oh so very relaxing!
The title of this made me giggle (at lease I hope this was a Seinfeld nod), but the concept is enticing. How can winter be so much more draining than summer?

I've totally done the exact same thing several times this winter…although for entirely different reasons I imagine!
My favorite companion for a hot bath is a good scented candle. Unfortunately, my favorite one was discontinued a while back. If you have any go-to's, I am open for suggestions!

For a while, I was all, "but I'll cook the baby if I take a bath!"
But then I figured it out. If I like baths, then obvs baby does too. Riiiight?

A nice, relaxing, quite bath sounds so perfect right now. I can't remember the last time I took a bath… it's sad. This post has inspired me to do just that!
