I had to wait a few days to show you this favorite thing because the second necklace you see was my early Christmas present to my sister. She checks my blog daily (perhaps my only immediate family member who does. Whatever family, whatever. But, if you’re wondering why this necklace belongs to Kate and not you, now you understand.) so I couldn’t post it. Anyway… I was so psyched to a) become Twitter friends with the lovely Lisa (the maker behind the necklace who is totally charming) and b) discover her shop in which every single thing calls out to me. I made my sister call me as soon as she got the package (which came quickly–just one more shout-out) and she opened it over the phone with me, all the while ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the packaging and then, of course, at the necklace inside. Prices range from the $20s to the $40s. A steal practically. It was the perfect Christmas gift. Thanks, Lisa!
Oh yeah, after a little Etsy stalking I discovered that some of Lisa’s jewelry is in Anthropologie stores, and that she used to be the designer behind some of the clothes. As if she wasn’t cool enough already.

Sister Kate here and yes, I LOVE the necklace (and the sister who gave it to me). It was such a perfect day yesterday. And then this pretty little package arrived in the mail. Maybe we should have waited until Christmas to open (said my husband)…but now I have two extra weeks to wear this beauty!

GORGEOUS!! I love this. I must get on the Etsy bandwagon, but I'm afraid to, really. Just another internet related thing to be obsessed over and to take my time away from husband and housework. LOL!
