i made cream of tomato soup courtesy of ina garten. i’ve made it before so i didn’t take pictures beyond the tomato–and the soup is more, oh so much more–see the full recipe and pictures here.
we ate and enjoyed. oh and had grilled cheeses too! you probably can’t see this, but N put half a sleeve of saltines in his making it a soggy mush and bringing shame to the barefoot contessa namesake. after that half a sleeve he said, “i need more.” i’m pretty sure i have said this before but i just think teenagers’ tastebuds are the FUNNEST THING EVER. NO SARCASM, IT’S GREAT, THE BEST.
we also locked this guy in the kennel but let him out just in time for school this morning.
Love soups…I have to try this one out:) Have a great day
Now I know what I'm making for dinner tonight! When we feel extra sinful we have the soup with Italian thin breadsticks that what bacon wrapped around them and bakes with parmesan on top. But grilled cheese is still my preference.
We say that when Davey will be a teenager he'll eat everything in the fridge and pangry in 3 days. Maybe I'll be living on a farm by then and make him milk the cows and tend to the chickens.
My! There's nothing better than tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Yum!
maybe something for your strange teenagers taste buds?
try adding a spoonful of sour cream to the middle of the bowl of soup, and topping it with shredded cheddar cheese! =)

I'm making tomato soup (angry chicken's recipe) and grilled cheese for supper tonight.
