- i had a dream i met stephanie nielson last night. it was a good dream and she was so nice (totally what i expected, don’t you?). we’re like bffs now and maybe i was even at her autumn dinner party (the record player was blocking my head, ok!)? the cheese tortellini was sooo good, not dry at all steph, what are you talking about?!
- in random conversation, are you semi-sheepish about being like, “oh, i have a blog.” i know before i actually had a blog and knew about blogs i thought blogs were like the means at keeping grandparents informed about the rate at which your child was growing (and they can be, theres nothing wrong w/ that peeps!) but now i realize there is a lot more to blogs but i have to remember that not everyone knows that just like i didn’t before last year. so i have to quickly add, “yeah. its a big deal.” (haha no not really)
- and my obsession with blogs is like self-declared obession with voyeurism–not in a dirty way. why do i care so much about your life? i don’t even know you. i don’t know why but i do and i love you and we’re sort of like real life friends even though we’ve never met and is it awkward that i really do want to meet in real life so we can be more than just internet friends?! phew, i’m out of breath.
- i love when blogs make me laugh out loud. this is not easy. it takes a lot for me to laugh out loud. seinfeld… occasionally. friends… occasionally. forgetting sarah marshall? yes. but for real. it takes some effort on your part so consider it a high compliment if you’re getting laughs (i should have carly simon’s “you’re so vain… you probably think this blog is about you…” in my head right now), not that you would know because i am, of course, behind a computer screen all by myself. but reagans blob makes me laugh out loud, or LOL if you will. go there now.
- on that note, i don’t link to many blogs or have a link list because i don’t want to hurt feelings OR show how many blogs i do read because then it seems like i don’t have a life. just know that i read so many a day and probably looooove yours. i follow like, oh, 100 blogs, but i have only linked to like five ever so no hurt feelings, k? k.
- i semi-wish i had a fashion blog. i won’t be having one. but some of them seem like so much freaking fun!
- even writing freaking, i’m thinking, “ok who reads my blog that will be offended by that?” there are some conservative readers to be sure. my blog’ll have to stay clean. my mind however… oh just kidding.
- i am random inserting photos because i am well aware that a blog post of mostly text turns away readers and this is really all about you.

Love this post. Why is it that I, too, care so much about people I don't know and will probably never meet? I don't know, it's beyond me, but it is the way it is. 🙂
(It's funny that before I had my blog I knew almost nothing about blogs and didn't read any. Now. Well. Now is another story!)

I feel the same way about the blog world. I do have a link up to it through my facebook, but I never really spring up in my conversation "oh so today on blogger" I feel as though people would look at me like I am crazy.
It has been great following you! I actually found you through a friend who I was following so I could keep in touch with her while she studied at Alvin Ailey in NYC for the summer. I really appreciate all the recipes you post up, I have been cooking and baking a lot when I stay with friends or at my boyfriends (trying to feed 3 hungry 20-something year old males.. yikes!) and you've helped with that!
so I want to share a recipe with you =) I made these a few weeks ago and they were fantastic, and super easy!

i love this. i feel the same about blogs: 1. i feel weird telling people 'I blog', I'm sure they judge just a bit. But my once leery husband now accepts and understands (and actually encourages me) when I take pictures of everything, so that helps. & 2. I feel a kinship with bloggers I have never met, and for that I sometimes feel like a total creepy.
Also, The Art of Dancing in the Rain is a great book (I just read it a few months ago). Now I am almost certain my dog now wishes to talk.

Just found your blog and I am LOVIN IT!!!!! Yes, when you run into old friends you haven't seen in a while and they ask what you've been up to, how do you tell them that you've been pouring *most* of your time into stalking other bloggers and becoming famous on the internet?
Look forward to stalking, er, following you 🙂

i went to a blogging conference (BLOG*SUGAR) in may and the coordinator said something along the affects of… It's weird telling people you have a blog if they don't have a blog because most people who don't blog think blogging is weird or lame or conceited, but you think to yourself.. My Blog is Awesome.. Blogging IS awesome… I get to be in contact with and meet people all over the globe, can they say that with their NON-blogging?…
it was probably one of my favorite things i heard that night.

I'm honored to be one of the five rare links. I am pretty sure I need to celebrate somehow. (a new outfit!)
I actually wouldn't mind you occasionally doing a fashion post here and there. I mean, if you put Up a picture of yourself wearing something you love out on a date with Steve. I woulnt e mad.

The photos were a nice touch. And if you want to laugh out loud you should check out Hyperbole and a Half…it's amazing.

Trust me, I live vicariously through waaay too many blogs. And there are so many people I'd love to meet in real life! Also, I sometimes find myself about to type quite more than just "freaking," but I quickly backspace so as not to offend. You are not alone!

oh my gosh this is hilarious because i too TOTALLY had a dream that I met Nie Nie. It was more of a bad dream. In my dream I found out that Mr. Nielsen was cheating on her (not with me, don't worry). Anyway, I woke up feeling so dumb.
I love blogs even if they make me a little crazy.

The timing on this could not be more perfect. I was just talking to a friend about FB. I'm not on FB. She was saying how people post ridiculous stuff on FB and pix of themselves and their kids just so people will say "You look great! Your kids are beautiful." And I was nodding like, "yeah. what's up with THAT?!" Meanwhile I'm thinking, "Those people need to get a blog!"
I mentioned that I READ blogs but never admitted I had one. I felt like an idiot. One of these days, I'll come clean though.

you pretty much read my mind with this post!
i am absolutely addicted to all the inspiring blogs out there… (including yours!) but when someone mentions my blog i get a little shy and sheepish. why is that?!

My friend and I have found ourselves talking about bloggers like they are superstars. Literally I would almost be starstruck if I met a blog friend it person — which is hilarious when you think about it!

i'm thinking how glad i am that you left a comment on my silly little blog. thank you.
i don't really tell many that i have a blog…my bestie who lives on the other side of my country does not even know.
but i feel like i've got the sweetest of bloggy friends and i'm so lucky.
i'm off to get lost in your lovely blog for a little while…

i am such a fan of random thoughts. mainly because that's how my brain is ALL. the. time.
it's totally not awkward, i definitely want to meet some of my blog friends. (like YOU!) i wish i could have an autumn dinner party like stephanie did (record player an all) and invite you lovelies over. it would be amazing.

Sometimes when I'm hanging out with my friends, I'm tempted to blurt out "this is SO going on my blog" but then I quickly remember they don't know about it!

I love this! And I love all your awesome Polaroids! They are beautiful!
And…I'm so excited to report that YES INDEEDY Stephanie Nielsen is just as lovely and beautiful in person as she is in her blog. I was so starstruck!
