today was a big day. william and lindsey, who have only ever been home-schooled (by becky, and oh how we will miss her!), went off to our local public school. lindsey is in 2nd now and william is in 4th. the day started early with a 6:50 am knock on our bedroom door… in walked the both of them dressed and with their backpacks on. this is no exaggeration. for william, this isn’t a shocker, but lindsey is no early riser. they were excited, well lindsey was mostly… william was a little nervous. as we watched them get on their bus at 8:00, it was a bit emotional (a few little tears is all)… for us, not them… but then they arrived home with happy tales of their first day.
