these three. they’ve got something so special and sweet. i’ve said it a few times and thought it a million: parker is so lucky to have them as his big brother and sister. they always give him the time if he walks to them and plops a book on their lap. they scoot him around the first floor in a laundry basket, on one of his little bicycles. if i’m racing around the house before heading out the door, no questions asked, william will have gotten parker all ready… jacket, shoes, hat. when they get off the bus and parker is standing at the front door, huge smile across his face, they greet him with such excitement, a hug, a kiss. william and lindsey may not always get along so beautifully with each other (we’re working on it!!), but they sure do love on their little brother. that is, until parker starts getting into william’s legos…
i’m just really grateful for the sweetness they share.

That is so, SO precious! All three of them (and the other two boys, too!) are so lucky to have each other!
And, seriously, aren't older kids the best help ever? My oldest is 8 and my youngest is almost 3, so they're all pretty close in age. I'm always shocked (and so thankful) by the amount my 8 and 6 year old do to help me with the little ones.

So sweet!! My brother and I are 5 years apart, and my sister and I are 15 years apart. Big age gaps can be so fun 🙂

All chalkboard love aside, this is a sweet post. Parker is one lucky little man to have such awesome older siblings. <3

It's just about the sweetest thing isn't it? My Julian will run around putting on Ava's boots, getting her sippy cup ready…all of it. For me? Nada. For her? Anything!
I'm good with that.

This is precious. My sister and I used to pull our baby brother around the house in a laundry basket too. We're not too close in age (4 years apart and then 6 years apart — I'm the middle child), so they may have helped us not get on each other's nerves so much. 😉

We just had our baby boy,Zion, a few weeks ago, and my 2 step kids, ages 16 and 13, are the same way. It's sooo sweet (and helpful) to see all the love they give him! I'm happy you have amazing stepkiddos too.

I know exactly what you mean. it's been pretty awesome having such a big age gap between the eldest (now 15) and max. this year he's started doing his own thing more but max has been so privileged to have had all that attention so far. and I think it's taught him how to be a great big brother to the little lady too 🙂

This makes me feel better about not feeling ready for another just yet. I think right now Elvis Earl would bonk a new baby in the head. Maybe a few more years and he'll be willing to read to them instead.
Love this picture too.
