forever 21 has the cutest kids’ clothes: htg81.
I am always on the look out for kids’ clothes that aren’t bedazzled in sequins and sparkles (avoiding Justice at all cost) and that are functional but cute (or cool–as the kids really do prefer). Basically, clothes that I like but that are too small for me to wear. Well, much to my surprise, I was meandering through the truly gigantic (like 30,000 square feet… that is an exaggeration) Forever 21 when I came upon a kids’ section! And let me tell you, the stuff is cute and inexpensive (and for how quickly kids either grow out of their clothes and/or trash them, inexpensive is the only way to go).
two posts in one day because i really thought this forward was cool even though i generally hate forwards.
we had some family pictures done.
we had them done in august and i just recently got them back and fell. in. love.
and as much as i’d like to show you every which one, i am not going to since one of them will be our christmas card. i don’t know which yet, but what fun is it getting a christmas card when you’ve already seen the picture?
so, it’ll have to wait till after. boo.
i will show you a few that i know will definitely not be our christmas card though.
giveaway winner.
dinner by hubs.
i usually work semi-late on thursdays. too late to get any sort of dinner ready by the time i’m home. sometimes hubs does dinner and it’s always a nice surprise when this happens. sometimes, he even jumps up when i walk in the door, to warm mine up (since they’ve probably already eaten). it’s pretty cute. anyway, last thursday he did that. i ate and it was scrumptious and then i saw my camera in a different place than it usually is. “what the h,” i said to myself and then discovered some pictures on it that i hadn’t taken. sure enough, some pictures of the dinner set up were on my camera.
guest post: for the beauty of the earth…
gray walls = heaven. along with white ones too.
our weekend.
I would’ve posted about this sooner but I thought my blog’s feelings would be hurt if I didn’t give it its own birthday post. So now I am posting about our weekend which was fun, really fun. The man and I saw Cirque du Soleil on Friday night. LOVED IT. I swear, the Cirque people, whoever they are, find the most talented group of people in alllll the land and invite them to join their company where they can debut their flexible spines, incredible balance, and amazing core strength. It is mind-boggling. I love going to Cirque du Soleil. I’ve been to a few and every single time I AM WOWED. This was hub’s first time and it was fun watching his reaction. Every time the lights went down for the next act I would look at him and say, “Isn’t this the COOLEST?!” His answer was always yes.
Then Saturday we took the whole fam to see the Blue Angels at the Boston-Portsmouth Air Show and all sorts of other air show type things. We saw World War II vehicles, troop transport planes (I’m sure there are more official names for all these things, but I, of course, don’t know what they are), F-16s, etc. One broke the sound barrier right in front of us–good thing we had our handy, dandy yellow ear plugs.
Happy birthday, little blog!
Wowee, this blog is exactly one-year old. It’s been fun. I had no idea how much fun it would be, actually. Getting to know you fine folks from around the world… getting advice, giving advice, and feeling like we’re kind of, sort of, maybe friends even though most of us have never met? Hear hear!
So, since, you know, the cool thing to do on a blog’s birthday is to give something away, I guess I’ll follow suit and give you something from my semi-sad Etsy shop? Cheesy? Not nearly as cool as a $100 Anthropologie gift card? Whatever. Doing it anyway.
How about one of these? From me to you with love.
And seriously, it’s been a fun year. Looking forward to year two.
Now, you know the drill… leave a comment, follow my blog (on its birthday, no less), link to it on your blog… all of them get you extra entries.
