It’s that time of year and no doubt you’ve seen links out the wazoo for everyone’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks. Well… here’s one more. Now wait a second. I won’t overwhelm you, cause you to go into total debt, refinance your homes… but I do want to give a quick shout out to some of the trieds and trues in my own life, and that happen to also be on sale, because who doesn’t love a good deal?There’s not going to be a whole lot of rhyme or reason to this post, but bear with me, and I’ll do my best not to lead you astray. {outfit details: jeans (wish these were on sale; they’re the best), shirt}
These leggings really are the greatest. I have said it before, and I will absolutely say it again. Maybe even tomorrow. My oldest, oldest pair (4+ years old) still look new and I cannot quite figure out what sort of sorcery they’ve spun into the threads, but it’s true. Wash ’em, wear ’em–and they’ll never grow old. I am very much into the high waist sort these days, so those are perfect, and you simply cannot beat that price. I find that they run pretty TTS.
Another frequetly mentioned item of mine, but this bra is the greatest bra of all time. (Yes, ladies, it works wonders on those sad empty tube sock post nursing breasts!) I have three of them and wear them to death. For me to spend that much (full price or even the sale price) on a bra, I have to really love it. And I do.
I typically get board shorts for the boys from Nordstrom. They have the best options (Volcom, O’Neill, RVCA, etc.) and I love this pair. Ooh, this pair too. Great price for them too. I usually get one pair per summer for them, so I might stock up for next year when they grow out of this year’s.
These are really spectacular kid shoes and pass down like a charm. Waterproof, slip on, check check.
This is the greatest men’s boot brand–the type you shine up and get resoled and wear forever. Steve has two pairs and swears by them. Expensive (though on sale) but worth it. Also a great looking pair of shoes too. Another great pair by them. I forever love a good Chukka boot on a man.
Full disclosure: here are some things I don’t actually have but quite like.
This cushy fleece. Don’t confuse that with me wanting winter to show it’s hideous head.
This knit is similar to this Madewell one I have but that waffle might be even better. Winter staple. Everyone gets a housecoat!
A shorter Hunter boot on a big sale.
I’m oddly fascinated with this mirror and have been for awhile, but still do not want to pull the trigger on it with that price tag. Though it be on sale, it is still too much for me.
Also fascinated with these brushes. Tell me why they have such a cult-following!
And that’s all. Fairly painless, yes?

I have those same Madewell jeans that you wore in the pic, and, while they don’t have the same exact ones on sale they did have the 10 inch buttonfly jeans. I snagged those, albeit in the wrong size just to grab the deal and hope I can exchange if they replenish. Love Nordstrom, but was disappointed in how they sold out of everything much too fast!
