Notes for the Road

We’re home from an amazing week in New Jersey–getting all of our ducks in a row as you do once you’re home from a trip. Laundry, cleaning, and the like. I also am thinking through having Parker pitch in more this summer. This morning, I had him dress Anders. I’m having him bring his dishes to the sink (easy; he should’ve been doing this all along. My fault!) He’ll be 7 soon. It’s time!

Parker and I just began his summer reading this morning with this sweet book. PS: some really good summer reading books here.

I love these jeans, but I’m thinking I might be able to make them by cutting some old pairs I don’t wear so much anymore.

Just came home from NJ where I ate a lot of junk food, drank more rose than normal, and didn’t have nearly enough water. I detoxed with this mask, exfoliated, microneedled, and then used this serum for plumping and moisture and I must say my skin is feeling and looking better already. (Drinking more water is probably the most important bit of the whole thing!)

Steve was asking for a big shallow bowl a few weeks ago for salads. We just don’t own any like that that are single serving. These would be perfect.

Some of the most iconic magazine covers of all time (one that is definitely missing is this National Geographic one). Also, had no idea that John Lennon was killed the same day that cover photo of him and Yoko Ono was taken.

Easy hair for summer. (They may be easy to some, but I definitely would not be able to pull a lot of them off!)
